Pratunam hotels & places to stay

Location is good, near Phetchaburi soi 5 and 10. The hostel is situated in a small alley. I arrived at about 12MN and the only way to get in is to call the staff. My SIM card allows data only so I am unable to call, I had ask a few locals and one of them finally helped to call the staff to open for me. I was quite flustered by then, and the staff came down all sleepy-faced. He sorted out the paperwork and made me sit there a few minutes in silence while he counted a stack of money. The staff then brought me to my dormitory, showed me the bed and was very kind to check that everything is okay for me before he left. The next morning I checked out and the same guy wanted to check my booking ID and he got all confused because he was comparing my booking ID with the property ID, and the numbers obviously don't match. The whole process took a frustrating 20 minutes, and I finally pointed it out to him how to check the bookings correctly. There are cheaper and better hostels elsewhere.

I reached early in morning whereas check in time is 12 noon but staff is very amazing and friendly. They allotted me bed by 10am. With best price per night, they also offer free breakfast. Another plus is free dinner on Saturdays. Location of the hostel is good as it is near to bus stop, Ratchaprarop Sky train and Pratunam market. Moreover, this hostel has a chart with bus numbers and routes to help us navigate Bangkok easily. Wi-Fi is super fast. There is separate Wi-Fi on each floor too. Common area is cool and cozy to hangout with fellow travelers. Hostel is fairly clean. Not only they clean rooms daily, they clean common area, kitchen and stairs very well too. Most amazing part of the stay is the staff and mix of travelers you meet during the stay. Neil and Jric at reception are best at their job and always helpful. They make your stay comfortable and memorable. I look forward to stay there soon.

Location is good since it is a just two minutes away by walking from Airport Rail Link (Ratchaprarop). For shopping of clothes, the hostel is only 5 to 10minutes away from Pratunam shopping area. Nearest BTS station is Victory Monument which is about 15 minutes walk. Breakfast set meal is filling enough since the coffee and toast are unlimited. The private room may be small but it is clean and provides all the basic needs. This is the best hostel that I have stayed in so far, in terms of facilities. Felt like I'm in a 2 to 3 star hotel.

This is a very good hostel. Good location, near airport link, and BTS racathewi also in walking distance. near pratunam market and platinum mall. perfect location for shopping. Bed very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful.. everything was excellent and beyond my expectation except one thing my room was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator in this hostel, I feel exhausted after full day shopping and have to climb like million stairs to reach my bed.. However I would definitely recommend this hostel to my friend, but tell them to request lower floor.

I had a peaceful and quiet day resting at Cubic Bed. It is Cubic Pratunam Hotel but on the top floor it is dorm. You can find it peaceful here as there is working tables for you. Laundry can go nearby at the beginning of the road as the hotel is busy. You can travel by motorbike to BTS Phayathai or BTS ratchathewi THB20-30/way. I didn't try the buffet but I tried a la carte menu. It is fabulous. Bkk is fabulous city, for shopping and see local life. Pratunam areas is AEC market, for trading all ASEAN is here for retails and wholesales to their home. Then on the way back either to Don Muang or Suvanabhumi is easily travel by BTS and Airport link. Airport link is behind the road. Fabulous stay. Love the charm of BKK.

I really like The Cocoon Hostel! Great location because it is near shopping malls and Pratunam market. They also have great staffs! Special mention to Pream!!! Pream was very helpful and friendly, He helped me with directions on how I can go to the tourist attractions in Bangkok because I'm a first time traveller and he kept entertained while I stayed in the hostel telling me stories about Bangkok. When you book your stay here in The Cocoon Hostel, you'll feel like your home because they will treat you as a friend and not just as a guest. This hostel not only deserved 5 stars, I will rate it with 100 stars! :)

I had stayed at cloudy hostel for 3 nights, and it might be exceptional to me. Very great location for travelling by both BTS and MRT. It's quite near Bangkok downtown like Pratunam fashion mall, Pratunam local market, Central World, Big C Supercenter or Siam by walking out if you dont mind a lot. One thing I thing the onwer should improve facilities is the curtain for bunk beds . I think its quite a little bit uncomfortable for you guys while sleeping or doing something private. If you guys are just travelling alone or getting a someplace for resting after a whole day exploring Bangkok. how could it be better than cloudy hostel. Anyway, I did liked this hostel a lot. Then I will be recommending cloudy hostel to my friends of mine.

Stayed for a night as a solo traveller. Same as most of the hostel, it's a tall building and there's no lift, so you will need to carry your baggage up the staircase. Very clean and cosy little hostel. Last min change of room for me upon check in as I booked my room quite late. But it was changed to a smaller pax room so it was all good. They also provide laundry service of 100 baht each time. I had quite a big bag so it was quite reasonable for me. It's not self wash btw. My plug at my bed is a little loose and I needed to stack a few of my belongings to help make my things charged. There's also a deposit of 200 baht upon check in. Overall, it's a nice and cosy place with a really good location. Would be back again if I would like to stay around pratunam area.

I really enjoy staying here for 5 nights. Near to the BTS and airport train link. Walkable to pratunam market. Friendly and helpful staffs, esp. Tom, the owner who lives next to the hostel. Great wiFi Full AC Clean towel everyday We can wash and hang our clothes at the balcony ourselves, although it is only limited space, consider also the others who want to use it too. There is also laundry service if you don't want to wash by yourself. Will be back to stay here if I visit Bangkok again, for solo or duo.

Situated in quite area but near the shopping complexs in Pratunam area. Room is clean and comfort and suitable for those who are single and on "tight budget". Provide tours to major attractions with special discount. Hostel (room for 8 person) is situated on the 1st floor but the only toilet is on the 3rd floor.For better choice, book the room with ensuite bathroom. Sometimes the shower water pressure was very very weak.

Located in one of the central shopping district in Bangkok. 10 mins walk to Ratchadamri BTS station. Lots of street food around. Walking distance to Pratunam Market, easy access to Erawan Shrine, Central World and many attraction. Not far from ferry boat station where you can get around Bangkok by river boat (Cheap and nice). The hostel is located in a quiet area. Although the sound insulation of the rooms are not very good, sometime we can hear people from next room talking. However, most of the guest are well behaved and follow the regulations of quiet hour at night. everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staffs are superb attentive, energetic, friendly & informative. We love them! They help us to book overnight bus ticket from Bangkok to Krabi and guide us on how to get to the bus terminal with a lots of other help and allow us to keep our luggage in the hostel for a week. (Thank you so much~) To my opinion, compared to other hostels in Bangkok area. Glur is great value of money! Nice place with perfect staffs. We will definitely come back again.

This is a hostel with less privacy. Outsiders like staff friends can go inside to use the washroom. There was one time that kids were running around and shouting going to the washroom. Too disturbing! I stayed there 7days. Perfect location for shopping at pratunam market and mall. The staff were great especially Yo. Yo was very helpful and accommodating. She is the best part of my stay!

Muji design - white and light coloured wood. Stayed at female 6 bed dorm. Checked in at 10AM (before official checked in time) and was given a bed. Bed curtain provides privacy. No elevator but staff help with luggage. Key card access to each room. Good and clean toilet / bathroom (male and female are separated). Tissue paper is provided in bathroom (excellent). Limited space for toilet cubicle. Extra towel is provided upon request. Stable WIFI. Laundromat - bring your own travel detergent or purchase from Reception at THB10. 10 mins walk from Phaya Thai MRT Station (when taking airport train). Less than 5 mins walk to Ratchathewi BTS Station. Around / less than 10 mins walk to Pratunam / Platinum Mall / Siam. Nearest convenience store is around Ratchathewi BTS Station or towards Phaya Thai BTS Station.

Cab driver from the airport had a hard time locating it. Check in was a breeze though. When I booked, I specified I'm booking for 3 rooms with 1 bed each since we were all couples, but only 1 room with 1 bed was available. The rooms were also quite far from what was shown in the photos online (quite old). But it's ok though coz we chose the hotel mainly because of the location & not the amenities. In general, I'm satisfied with the hotel & their service. It's really value-for-money. The small hole-in-the-wall resto (the one leading to pratunam market & which sells smoothies too) near the hotel was great! cheap yet very delish & they have an english speaking staff too which made the ordering easier.

Stayed in this Amazing place from 26th-31st March 2013. Staff,and the Rest were simply delighting the guests by attending to most of their requests. The Check-in is smooth as Thai Silk, may be 3 mins. The rooms are better than a 4 star hotels when u take the value for money option, as they r spotless, clean bed linnen, reading lamp and A/C all day along.....Further the wash rooms were extra clean as they were regularly looked after by attentive cleaning staff. As per guidance is an encyclopaedia bangkok, as she is correct even to the minute bus route number. The other aspect is the most of the staff's ability to converse in English. If they dint understand sumthn they made a habbit to guide us to staff who could understand our question. The location is ***** stars as its a stones throw from the wir port rail link. U can get to the hostel within 35 mins of landing. (That's if you get to the basement level and take the rail link from SVB to Ratchaprarop station). The train journey costs 45 Bahts onwards and 40 when returning to SVB. FnB wise again ***** stars as the hostel has a well equipped kitchen.(No cook top). But rice cooker, a microwave, and water kettle are all there with plenty of clean crockery. Two supermkts are like 1 min walk from either sides of the hostel. I recommend the Eon supermkt, as it is 24 hrs, professional staff, huge variety of Thai n International items and acceptance of Amex and other CCards. Thai street food is about 3 mins walk from the hostel and two 7-11s are in 5 mins walk. But seriously just pop in to the 24 hrs Eon and you can get Sushi platter for 69 Baht, Noodles, Oven fresh Bread 40 Baht, Pre cooked Thai dishes 45 Baht, and 3in1 coffee sachets at 3.50 Baht each. Pratunam is like 7 Mins walk from the hostel. Center world, Indra mkt, Plantip Plaza, Platinum Mall are just two shouts away,,,,, may b 10-16 mins walk...... Famous Sukhumvit Rd is 15 mins away. The staff are very nice and helpful. Able to converse in English. Luggage can be left there after check out with no charges. One of the male staff being helpful to guide the grab driver to the hostel. Location is at Pratunam area. Walking distance to Platinum Fashion Mall and Pratunam Market. We stayed in a female dorm of 5 at 2nd floor. Lucky for us that the toilet is just right beside the room. Locker inside the dorm is quite spacious. Room and common area is very clean and pretty. Fridge and refillable water provided. Definitely worth the price.

This hostel is great!! It is worth the price. We had the double space at the 4th floor. Its quite challenging going upstairs since it is somehow steep. If you have bigger luggage or a heavy one, you might want to rent a locker room on the ground floor, instead. I wont recommend this one to those travelling with knee pain or arthritis, and small childre. The room is clean, and spacious. The bathroom is big enough but their toilet room is small (who needs a bigger area anyway when you are in need?!? 💩🙈😜). There is no breakfast but there are a lot of choices outside the hostel,,street food or resto. The staff are courteous and accomodating. It is very near to the airport railway link and the BTS(just a minute walk or 2). Take the BTS going to Siam Paragon and you can walk your way going to Central World, Big C Market, Terminal 21, MBK Center, Platinum and Pratunam Market. You can even walk your way back to the hostel.

This is a bagpacker style hotel that located in Pratunam which very suitable for shopaholic in the center of Bangkok. Location is good, walking destine within 10mins to Platinum Fashion Mall, 15mins to The Market and Siam Paragon. Cleanliness is very good. Clean, no bad smell, bathrooms and toilet is clean. Also it’s because not allow to wear shoes inside the room and also bathroom that keep the place more clean. Staffs is very friendly and helpful in provide helpful information. Breakfast is simple and yet good. Just a minor note for shopaholic, because this is a hotel without lift facilities. Therefore, upon check-in, me and my friends need to carry our own luggage up to our room at 5th floor. So we also need to carry down from 5th floor to ground floor with our heavy loaded luggage. Another things is the bad smell at ground floor as all shoes put at shoesrack and next to the area of dining area for breakfast actually is quite disgusting. Overall, me and my friends have pleasant stay and worth the money for our stay.

Excellent. Best experience in bangkok so far. Initially, since I am going to stay in a hostel, i was quite worried about the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, lack of privacy and whether my belongings will be secure. However, my worries were proved to be pointless. The rooms and toilets are kept clean throughout the day. Every room is card locked and every bed is provided with a locker. The beds separated by walls in and curtain can be drawn. To add on, the location is really good. It is near to bangkok shopping places like platinum mall and pratunam market. It is a 5 to 10 mins walk from siam bts which is linked to many other bts lines which can bring you to different areas in bangkok. Also be rest assured that the friendly and approachable staffs are able to advise you on the most convenient way to get to your destination. I am glad I got to experience the transport system in bangkok and not just taxi here taxi there taxi everywhere. One thing to note is that you will have to tug your luggage up a few flight of stairs before you get to your assigned room (no elevator available), but this definitely would not deter me from staying at this hostel again. You pay a lower rate for more comfort, as compared to other hotels in that area. I do not know where else to find such a great deal.

I stayed a week at this hostel and can´t praise the staff enough! Wonderful friendly and helpful people! The room was good and the bathroom and showers stocked and clean. There are no common areas really with the exception of the café downstairs which is open to the public. This is definitely not a typical backpackers hostel with areas conducive to meeting other travelers, with info about tours, with activities scheduled, and the like. This is more for the independent traveler who is self sufficient. Booking on Agoda will give you the cheapest price as of June/July 2017. It is the cheapest hostel in the area if you book through the site mentioned.

this hotel is managed by a son and his father who serve their guests like family. I went here with zero acknowledged about bangkok, but the father tell me about everything. He sugested me places to go and told me which best way to take. He didnt do it for money. And the last day when i already checked out but my flight was at night and my body wasnt really well because i caught fever and he let me sleep and take a bath and even gave me madicine and coffee and stuff even tho i already checked out,he let me stayed and called a taxi for me. The services are the best you can get from a small hotel, this is the perfect hotel for backpacker. Just like what Paul said to me, "this is not hotel, this is your house."

The entire experience you will get from Pinto hostel is cozy, amazing, friendly host and clean place to be. The amenities are on point. There is towel, hairdryer and locker prepared. The quality is as good or maybe better of what you get from 5star hotel (aside the part you need to share room & bathroom with others, but hey, you get to meet new friends) Breakfast counter is ready there. The host prepared very nice banana cupcakes. Just add 5baht for an egg. The location is also very convenient. 5mins walking distance to BTS Ratchathewi. And 10/15mins walk to Pratunam/platinium fashion shopping mall. 5mins away to Soi 15 for massage place called Arunda. I really dont know what else more you can ask from this hostel. I definitely think is better than a hotel. I would definitely come back again on my next visit.

Cozy interior with great cleanliness. Awesome location (right beside pratunam wholesale market and other great shopping area within walking distance). Provide lockers (best to bring your own lock). There’s no lift. Friendly staff and simple kitchen (cereal bread Maggie mee provided). Overall a great stay and I will recommend this hostel to any solo travellers. Thumbs Up!

I have stayed at this hostel about 5 times already as I trek back and forth through Asia. I love how the hostel is so close to the BST station and it's not a party hostel (but they have fun social things to do). The bunks have thick drapes for privacy and some sound cancelling. They have a cafe and garden downstairs where I do work on my laptop. It's close to street markets for food just walking distance. They have daily activities like yoga and movie nights. Breakfast is pretty decent not just your regular toast and jam. It's clean. Good value for your money. They have a common room with seating, fridge and microwave. Secure lockers and they provide key and lock. Towel and flip-flop service (I have my own flip-flops). And the staff is super helpful and nice. :) The only thing is, the cafe and garden has a lot of mosquitos so it can be very annoying, it would be amazing if they placed some Citronella oil lamps around the space so working on the laptop can be more comfortable.

Value for money. Walking distances to all major shopping malls. House keeping is done daily. Cozy rooms. Friendly and helpful staffs, will try their utmost best to help you with all your enquiries. Security is so much better than 5 stars hotel. They will regonise and acknowledge the staying guests. Highly recommended. Will be back again! Thank you for making my stay a pleasant one!

The Hi. Mid Bangkok Hostel/Hotel is a great place to stay in Bangkok since it's located near all the best transportation options. It is just a couple of blocks away from the Victory Monument where the BTS Train Station and bus station are located. Also, taxis are always around this area. I stayed in one of the dorm rooms with two of my friends, and everything was very nice and clean, both in the room and in the bathrooms.There are curtains next to each bed that can be pulled shut for privacy, and there's also a space next to each bed where your luggage can be stored. After checking out of the hostel, we were still planning on doing a few things around town before leaving, so we asked where we could leave our luggage. The guy at the front desk showed us that they have a small room down the hall behind the desk where they store luggage for free! It was very nice to be able to leave our large bags there while walking around town some more. The workers at Hi. Mid Bangkok were all very nice and helpful, and they also had maps of Bangkok that were free. They spoke good English, too! In the mornings, they had cereal, milk, and toast with jelly for breakfast. A couple of other things that were great about the location of this hostel was that there was a 7-Eleven just about a block away, and there was also a drinking water machine just a few steps away in the ally that you could use to refill large water bottles for only 1 bht! My friends and I were very happy with this hostel/hotel, and we even chose to stay there an extra night. The AC worked well, and so did the hot showers and wifi. I would highly recommend the Hi. Mid Bangkok Hostel to anyone looking for a cheap but nice place to stay in Bangkok.

A lot of food nearby, within easy walking distance to pratunam market, platinum mall, central world, and from there another 15 min walk to Siam area. Walking is the best to avoid getting stuck in traffic!!! Also it's in a very quiet area so we managed to get real good rest. The staff were very friendly and provided room service upon request. Amazing price for the unbeatable location and clean rooms!! Will stay here again next time.
