Nice touches!”

I stayed in the Jacuzzi tub with mountain views and it was clean and nice. Although Thailand hasn't figured out the memory foam mattress toppers yet, the staff attempted to provide a mattres covering to help with the hardness if traditional beds in Thailand. The price was a bit expensive considering there is a gorgeous resort up the road for the same price, but I travel with a small dog, so options are limited. The hotel has a beautiful garden with a babbling brook running thru it. Mae Rim/ Mae Sa also has the Amazing Queen's botanical gardens with great trails and more to see....A beautiful taste of nature. There were cute decorative touches throughout the hotel. The staff were welcoming with a convenient pet policy. (Please keep Thai hotel owners happy with foreigners traveling with their pets as over the years, many hotels stop accepting pets.) The food was really good northern style thai food with a huge breakfast. Overall, this was really nice.

A resort that never let you down”

Proud Phu Fah is located in the middle of nature with every room having tiny, cute stream passing by. Bungalows are designed in such a way that could blend in perfectly with the surrounding. Service-minded staff is one thing that every guest wouldn't leave without notice. They are nice and smile and always ready to help. What would you wish more from hotel staff? Thai chef at the resort is really good. If you are a foreigner and would like to try genuine Thai cousine without stepping out of your heaven here, Thai food from room service won't let you down. This place is a perfect hideaway. I and my wife spent 3 days and 2 nights without going anywhere. It is a great charging of your life battery.

Favorite hotel in the area”

I’ve been to what seems like just about every nicer hotel around Chiang Mai, and I think this is my favorite. This one is simultaneously nice and chill. Often fancier places are up-tight with actually awkwardly over-attentive employees. The employees at Proud Phu Fha were warm, welcome, accommodating but also CHILL, which was great. The grounds are gorgeous, perfect for nature lovers. I highly recommend the riverside room with a pool, it was divine. Seriously couldn’t recommend this place enough. I basically want to live there now. It’s amazing!

Relaxing a friendly jungle retreat”

This resort is located about 18KM from the city of Chiang Mai high in the mountains and just a short distance from many of the main tourist attractions of the Mae Rim area eg. botanical gardens, Tiger Kingdom, rafting etc. The resort is a beautiful jungle retreat set on the banks of a small river that bubbles past each of the cabins. There are only 20 or so cabins which are private and beautifully appointed. We had a deluxe private cabin which has the bedroom on a mezzanine level above the main living area. This is perfect as it makes the cabin very spacious. The bathroom is outdoor in the typical Lanna style. Each cabin has its own terrace overlooking the river. The resort location is remote so eating options are limited. We ate in the resort restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised that the food quality was excellent and also very reasonably priced.

It was perfect. The air in Mae rim hillside is a lot cooler than Chiang Mai. It was so good to be back to a natural environment with the mountain breeze. The driver is not too long from Chiang Mai old city. 40 mins maybe. We stayed in the villa for 2 nights. The room is very pretty and I feel like I want to have a house like that.

At Proud Phu Fah, you can see anything nature. At the room it is totally green by nature. I really love it. It's like you are in jungle while you are got comfortable space to stay. Really great mix.

Stay in nature”

We live in ️Chiang Mai but like to get out of the city every now and then...it was my 40th and so we decided to book a night at the PPF. It didn't disappoint, we really really enjoyed our stay ;) Our villa was beautiful with our own private balcony facing the stream, a 4 poster bed and an open to nature shower/toilet...it really was a nice room. As we were only staying a night we decided to hang out at the resort...we played with the adorable and friendly kitty cats:) had lunch, got a massage and generally chilled...the hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a natural stream...it was hard to believe we were not that far from civilization...the staff were all very friendly and professional and it felt like they went out of their way to accommodate us (they set us up a private table for dinner, let us have our massage on the garden deck and so on). I would recommend this hotel to anyone...fantastic 👍👍👍

Lovely secluded resort”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Proud Phu Fah Hotel. It is a nice little resort at the very end of the tourist trail. It makes a great stop after a busy day visiting elephant camp, snake farm, orchid farm etc. Or just an escape from the city. The food was great, too.

Beautiful, seclud, relaxing boutique hotel.”

a beautifully tranquil small hotel where we were able to get away from it all and relax. perfect rooms with plenty of light, with a terrace overlooking a small stream. the rooms are superbly blended into the extensive forest foliage and no room overlooks another. you get the feeling of being totally alone. excellent staff service, wonderful thai food from an extensive menu make this place a real gem. we would have no hesitation in returning at the first opportunity. one word of caution - the hotel is located about 50 mins drive from chiang mai and if you don't hire a car, please be prepared to pay 1000 baht each way in a taxi. that being said part of the attraction of the hotel is its location way from the crowded tourist havens of down town.

A get together holiday”

The beauty about Proud Phu Fah is, you are living with Nature and it’s a lovely secluded area with a little stream running down the back of your small villa is amazing. I simply love the whole concept of this resort especially recommended for people who wants and love nature, this is definitely the place for you.

Peaceful and Isolated.”

I was looking for a place to stay that would relieve all stress by natures, slow life, and completely quiet. This place is the answer of all. I and my daughters stayed for 2 nights. We love doing nothing but relaxing and breath...no expectations but breath and listen to the little creatures around us..., sounds of jungle; crickets, birds, frogs were singing all day long. Yet you can find activities down the road on Mae Rim, but we did all from other times visiting. Our room is very clean, nice, and interesting. It’s great for a couples with romantic atmosphere. Having your own car would help getting around, if not, transportation provided by hotel on tour arrangements. Overall, is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and escape from fast life zone.

This is my third visit to Chiang Mai and I must say by far, this is the most expensive stay which I never regretted. The price is definitely worth the stay. I stayed at one of the largest villas, which had a 2-level bedroom and a detached living room. The rooms were very spacious and the air was awesome! We didn't even have to turn our air-con. I would definitely consider staying here again if I am back in Chiang Mai.

The room is fantastic! I love it that the "bedroom" has a glass wall that oversees the jungle. Waking up to a green scenery with bird's chirping and insect sounds was an incredible experience. Coupled with cool weather, excellent breakfast, wonderful surroundings and courteous staff, this is a must-stay hotel for any visitors to Chiang Mai!

Best Romantic I ever visit in Thailand”

This is the best romantic resort I ever visit in Thailand. It's locate at good location and not far from attractive place in Mae Rim. Food is another thing make me surprise, taste is great both international food and Thai food.

Still a good boutique hotel in the area, but shows signs of age, great staff”

Perhaps the only chic boutique hotel in Mae Rim. Rather pricey for rooms in Phu Zone, tree top view room cost similar to a 5-star hotel in Chiang Mai city!! Room shows signs of rundown. Water temperature was unstable. Rooms were not soundproof. Imagine you sleep next to a room with crying baby... Curtains were not blackout. So, rise with the sun. Breakfast was almost unbearable.

A hide away mountain resort”

this resort is just beautiful. it is very private and quiet. the landscaping and decoration is beautifully done. it is all green and natural. the staff are very friendly. the size of the room is reasonable. we live in the fern hills villa, built on a small hill with streams passing by. this resort is good for relaxing. you need a car to get around because it is quite remote. i highly recommend this place if you are in mae rim area. i will go back again.

Nice little oasis, unpretentious boutique hotel”

+ Good location in Mae Rim for a wide range of activities available in the nearby area. Away from the hustle bustle of Chiangmai city center. We used this as a base to explore Chiangdao as well, which was 1h 15min drive away. + Nice fresh air at this part of the mountain - Shower was a bit weak - You must arrive in your own vehicle

The stream and playground with slide are very lovely. ”

My kids (9, 5, 2 yr) loved the slide and sand play area. The outdoor hot tub was great. The breakfast was great. Although the menu was limited, but the food tasted great and you can order as much as you wish. We will definitely return for our next trip to Chiang Mai.
