Clean room, disappointing/lack of necessities”
My overall stay at this hotel was acceptable, but there were many things to be disappointed with and annoyed by. I was on my bachelorette weekend so had booked oen of the G Suites - really roomy, clean and nicely decorated. However, the rest of my guests did not have their room ready at international check-in time at 3PM and I felt bad for their wait (waited in my room to catch-up), especially for some of the visitors that travelled from afar. The room also didn't have smart TVs (one barely had adequate sound), no speaker and NO INTERNATIONAL SOCKETS! Not to mention no USB ports - a little hard to comprehend these days. The worst part was that there was practically no hot water in my room, whenever I showered (around midnight to 1AM) - the water came out a shy over tepid tempearture - while my friends informed me that their rooms had scalding hot water. The general wifi also struggled for any video conversation and the wait for elevators ran over 5 minutes each trip. The staff were very friendly and the access to club lounge was decent with snacks and drinks. So not all was lost, but it was disappointing in many aspects. I would advise anyone going to stay here to lower expectations on parts of the hotel/room.

Good Hotel with Good Dining Choices”
Pullman Hotel is a good choice if you are looking to stay in Bangkok’s Silom area for a few days. My room was clean with a comfortable king size bed and oversized fluffy pillows. I had a great dining experience in Scarlet which offers Italian cuisine but expect to fork out a fair bit of cash if you plan to have dinner there. The restaurant has a great view of the surrounding area. Another fine joint is 25 Degrees if you’re in the mood for a burger. The room service menu features a mix of Thai and International cuisine. I opted for Thai, which didn’t disappoint. The only drawback was breakfast. If I had a choice to redo my booking, I would skip adding breakfast to the ticket. It was the same buffet spread for the 5 mornings I was there, and it was not as large a spread as you’d expect of a 5 star hotel. I’m all for not wasting food and if the hotel wants to prevent wastage by offering less options at the breakfast buffet, I would suggest they put in more effort to innovate and provide changes to the daily spread.

This Hotel hit every spot perfectly, Room is exceptionally clean and the views from our 15th floor window were amazing and the breakfast buffet was second to none . The only disappointment was that the pool was quite small and not heated. Oh well the pool did not matter in our plans so much. We will definitely stay there in the future.
Falls short of delivering on its '5-star' classification”
Overall, I felt satisfied with my stay at the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, which was good value for money. Facilities were clean, spacious and, mostly, reliable. Amenities were well stocked and the ground-floor 25 Degrees Burger, Wine & Liquor Bar was pleasant and enjoyable. The location was also acceptably convenient. The closest BTS station (Chong Nonsi) requires just a 10-15 minute stroll, though that mightn’t satisfy some as being close enough to limit exposure to the stifling Bangkok humidity. Unfortunately, being just satisfied fell short of expectations that I had for a hotel classified as ‘5-stars’. For instance, the air conditioning was insufficient. The unit in my room didn't seem to be fitted with a high quality refrigerant. It struggled to neutralise the heat and humidity and the thermostat couldn't be set to less than 18 degrees Celsius. As a result, comfort was compromised. When sleeping, I often had to shift around as the temperature wasn't cool enough to counter my body heat emanating onto the bed. Furthermore, some of the fittings in my room were slightly tattered. There were noticeable skid marks on the floors and sizeable parts of the skirting were conspicuously worn down. Another 5-star let-down was the common facilities. Please note, my booking didn't include Lounge Access and I didn't use most of the key facilities located in the upper floors, such as the G Spa and the Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant. Of those that I did use, I eventually sought stronger offerings elsewhere. For instance, the gym was quite small and there was no space for performing stretches or freestyle exercises. I ended up using the Virgin Active gym at the Empire Tower, which was about 15 minutes away on foot. If Pullman Bangkok Hotel G was, instead, classified as 4-stars, I would’ve been more understanding of the shortfalls and therefore happier with my experiences. However, its advertisement, reviews and 5-star classification influenced the high hopes I had of enjoying luxuries that I don’t get in my day-to-day toils. What I received instead was an experience on par with (and, in some cases, inferior to) other 4- or 3-star accommodations I had stayed in.
