The hotel offers excellent value for money. While the room is small, it’s well-equipped with everything you need. It’s worth noting that toothbrushes and room slippers aren’t provided, but this wasn’t a major issue for me. The location is convenient, especially for food lovers. It’s just a short walk to Ongpin Street, perfect for a food trip, and there are nearby malls as well. However, be prepared for some traffic in the area, which is typical for this part of the city. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel is impressive. Both the room and common areas are well-maintained. The staff were great—friendly and accommodating. They even allowed us to check in early, which was a huge plus after traveling. Even the security guard was friendly and helpful. One small thing that could’ve been improved was informing us beforehand that we needed to tap our key card in the elevator to access our room floor. Breakfast isn’t included, but it’s not a problem since there are plenty of food options just outside the hotel. Overall, I had a great stay despite it being just overnight. If I return to Binondo and need a budget-friendly place to stay, I’d definitely choose Red Planet Hotel again.

I recently stayed at a hotel with my wife and a close friend and I must say, the check-in process was quite a pleasant experience. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted with friendly smiles from the staff at the front desk. They quickly assisted us with our check-in process. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff were well-trained, knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we had regarding the hotel amenities and nearby attractions. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and personalized service we received. The staff took the time to ask us about our plans for our stay and offered suggestions for activities and restaurants in the area. They also made sure to accommodate our room preferences and any special requests we had. The room itself was spacious, clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and we had a great view of the city from our window. Our friend had a separate room but was also very pleased with the quality of his room. The hotel also had a variety of amenities that we were able to take advantage of during our stay. Overall, our experience at the hotel check-in with my wife and friend was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and it was the perfect start to our trip. Budget friendly hotel if you want to explore Binondo ”
Red Planet is in the center of everything and walking distance to almost, if not all, of the popular food stops in Binondo. I highly recommend staying here if you're planning to do a Binondo food crawl. It's also near Intramuros (1 ride away) so you can include that in your itinerary. One thing that caught me off guard during the stay was that the amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers didn't come with the room. You have to pirchase it separately at the front desk (₱45 / pack that includes all three mentioned above), so I would suggest bringing your own to save money. The rooms are pretty small but it's clean and I'm pretty suprise that the mini fridge works (coz it usually doesn't in the hotels I have been haha) staff were pretty approachable and hotel was clean. It's pretty accessible too since it's along the service road. Overall, if I am back in Binondo (or nearby) this is where I'd stay. You get your money's worth.
