“The most disgusting hotel ever ”
We have booked through Agoda many times and have never had an issue, except for a few hotels cancelling at the last minute. We arrived at this hotel around 4 in the afternoon. Since we were not familiar with the area, it took some time to find, and the location was very difficult to access. Upon entering, we were met with filthy stairs and workers running a food business on the first floor, surrounded by dirt and debris. The staff was not welcoming, although one person did escort us to our room and checked that everything seemed fine before leaving. The room was tiny, cleanliness was about 7 out of 10, the internet kept disconnecting every minute, and I had to fix the TV for them as it was outdated. Just as we began settling in, the receptionist told us that the room was under maintenance and we would need to move. This was a major inconvenience. We were transferred to another room without the receptionist even checking it first. A lady told us we could go in, so we did. This new room was around 3 out of 10 in quality. When we removed the RedDoorz signature red cloth from the bed, there were stains underneath. We ignored it because we were tired and had work to do. At checkout, we were charged 650 according to the hotel’s policy. We explained that the stain was already there when we arrived. They called the lady who let us in, and in front of her boss she claimed it was not there the day before. Of course she would say that in front of her boss. Before letting us in, she had even asked the maintenance guy to turn on the AC, which makes us suspect he could have been the one who caused the stain. It was clear the stain was old, not fresh. The owner told us that they throw away bedsheets with stains, but later contradicted themselves by saying they send them to the laundry first and only throw them away if the stains remain. This made no sense. The owner also insisted that stains are always the guest’s fault, which suggests they may be planting stains and forcing guests to pay for damages. The owner was very confrontational, and the staff were dishonest. We have booked many hotels through Agoda before, and this is the first time we have experienced anything like this.
