Metro Manila hotels & places to stay

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in in Manila. From the lobby interiors, to the room, and even the staff. All worth it. Very accommodating and customer-centric as they delivered a birthday cake to our room because it was a post-birthday staycation, and the front desk even went up our room on our behalf when we forgot something upon check-out. Housekeeping was also very hospitable. They oblige your amenities request, and anything possible in the room. They’re not stingy in terms of toiletries, and bottled waters inside the room, like other hotels are. They have an iPad in each room where you can request for housekeeping, control the AC, TV and lighting, and even check-out. Talk about fast! Breakfast is a wide spread of international cuisine. One of the best I’ve tasted. The fountain show was amazing. The pool, although not that deep, is very relaxing, with the view of Manila Bay on the horizon. Tip: request for a Manila Bay view room. You can relax in the bubble jet overlooking the bay, and watch the sunset without going out of your room. Be sure to ready your cameras!

Overall a great hotel! Fantastic rooftop bar with a bird’s eye view of Manila and I love the infinity pool as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were specious and clean. According to Google map, the distance from the airport to hotel is approximately 21mins. However, jam in Metro Manila can be quite bad and it took me 1.5hours to reach the hotel, which would have otherwise been a breeze. There’s also a mall 5 minutes away from the hotel.

Conrad is strategically located to the airport, shopping mall and restaurants. It takes 15 mins to the airport by Uber or Grab (because of the SKYWAY), which is awesome considering the traffic in Metro Manila. A bridge connects you to Mall of Asia (MOA needs to improve; not the fault of Conrad). If you want to get everywhere I will tell you that you will be stuck with traffic. So you really need a hotel that has everything easily accessible (food, shopping, malling) and I think Conrad fulfills that function. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the morning breakfast. I mean this is supposedly a 5 Star hotel and we expect value for money. Compared to breakfast at Shangrila, Conrad falls far behind. But the staffs are amazing. I love the pool, which is besides the Sauna and Gym. I love the place and would recommend it for family vacation

Overall we had a great stay at the Hyatt City of Dreams. There was a minor issue with our room and the Assistant Manager at the Front office: NELYSSA BERNARDO was exceptional at handling our concerns and taking care of the situation. The customer service was well deserving of 5 stars. and we really appreciated all her hard work. The rooms are new, modern and very spacious and all the different Food at the Restaurant is also very good. We have been to the philippines many times and we will for sure stay here again next time we are in Manila. With amazing food, new rooms and the best customer service experience the Hyatt city of Dreams is possibly the best Hotel in Manila at the moment. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED :)

I would like to compliment the person at the reception who upgraded us to a pool view room when he learned that I will be celebrating my birthday in a few days. It wasn't necessary but he did make me feel special. Room is spacious and clean. Location is very accessible to the airport and to provinces in the South of Metro Manila via NAIAX and Skyway. Although a bit minor, the space for checking in is quite small. There are couches for those who need to wai, but if you have to line up so you can check in, you will be blocking the people who will proceed to their rooms via the elevator.

Great location and next to shopping mall ( SM MEGA MALL ). Very convenient for shopping areas, transport availability , nearby Metro Rail System terminal, GRAB transport, taxi's... Hotel staffs were friendly and kind. Always assertive and professional in nature. A's for them ! Prices for rooms depends on where you make reservations..$$$ +AGODA ONLINE ..$$..with Breakfast! Parking $$$ as guests, although advertised stated "FREE" for hotel guests . Few small crawlers ( roaches, bugs, ants)..but its ONLY certain corner areas..Request Building A.... AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM-that's so cruel..NOISY and temperature and fan speed adjustment not there, stick with what you can feel! Depends on which building room you can get...TAKE BUILDING A's room....if you do not like outside view at all. Perfect for family holdings for cooking and dining settings. Overall- GREAT HOTEL STILL ! Either me or together with my wife, family stays here always every time we are in METRO MANILA area for several days. SECURITY....not bad as they just look at you as you "GO IN"..anyway ELEVATOR has CODE going up. I would say..3 1/2 STAR for this BSA

I have stayed in different hotels in metro manila. I consider Heritage Hotel as one of the best and it's right at the heart of everything such as shopping, church,closed by restaurants, transporataion(s) where your friends, relatives and your other special guests could visit you in short notice. plus the night clubs around the area which i find very entartaining like the music, playing of the bands singing and dancing and many more all these add up to the hotel's features and to its prime location. I am pretty sure I will choose this Hotel once again when I return during the festive season 2010. that's all and ses again.

This hotel is unbelievable - they were not only cheaper than others, but exceeded our expectation with flying colors! They have a very welcoming atmosphere, they upgraded us twice and on another occasion they were the only hotel allowing our 17 years old son travel by himself checking in with no adult present, while all other Manila hotels denied him. The rooms are very clean and comfy. They have all amenities you can think of and some extra accessories. We only wish they added USB charge sockets and an airport/mall shuttle.

This hotel is truly magnificent! Its prime location, stylish design of the pool, elegance of the newly renovated suite room and balcony that offers the stunning view of the Manila bay. The food either at Spiral or Club Mellissime is great. One of the best hotels in Metro Manila. Many thanks to Ms. Ella Navarro (Assistant Manager), Nikka and Morrise for their hospitality during the entire duration of our stay (upgrade of the room, late check out and assistance until check out). Great people makes this hotel magnificent. Bonjour Mabuhay!

I booked a 10th Floor Grand Bayview Corner Suite for one night at Solaire. The staff are highly trained Filipinos who are very polite, accommodating, energetic, sharp and they seem to love their jobs. Excellent Management. The room was very spacious, with two (2) large Flat Screen TVs, Long L-Shaped Leather Sofa, Las Vegas Style Bar, King Size Bed, Digital Safe, Writing Desk, SPA-like bathroom with tub and a mesmerizing view of The Manila Bay. I strongly believe that Solaire has got the best views of the Manila Bay even in their Restaurants. They Have the best property location in the developing Entertainment City Manila. They offer 24-Hour Energetic Room Service. You would not be shy to call at 3am. The food and cocktails were really great and World-Class. The pool bar area was just wonderful and very relaxing as they also play modern - classic - chill-out / lounge music. Although I used to be a self-proclaimed professional poker player, I never sat at the tables nor played any Casino games available in the hotel during our stay. But definitely, Solaire is a haven for finesse gamblers. Maybe next time I'll try for old times' sake. Solaire will make you feel like a High Roller even if you are not a gambler. They have a newly opened Private Karaoke Villas which are exclusive for Members Only. The membership is a deposit of Php. 1,000,000 with a consumable bonus reward of Php. 200,000. However, they still entertain Non-Members with a Villa Rate of Php. 30,000 Consumable for 4 Hours Karaoke stay. Because of this, we just decided to sing in our bathroom. They also offer Massage Services for USD 100 for 90 Minutes. Breakfast at Fresh was indeed fresh and yes, refreshing. We were very lucky to have been given a 4PM check-out time which gave us a chance to swim one last time after brunch and enjoy our suite longer. It was a wonderful stay at Solaire and we hope to do it again soon. They will make you feel like A Million Bucks. Cheers to Don Enrique.

Lovely period hotel that has been renovated. Rooms are spacious and well kept with the bathrooms modernized and in nice condition. The location was for me ideal as I required the services of the US Embassy directly across the road. A nice walk across the park to the "old city" of Manila with its period architecture and cathedral. The staff at the Bayview are very helpful and cheerful. My only negative was the breakfast and that only because there was no fried eggs, bacon or beans! There was scrambled eggs, chicken sausages and rice however, plus cereal, fruit and bread(s(, so the breakfast choice is personal. A lot of good restaurants in the vicinity, and many good hotel restaurants close by. If you like Chinese try the Red Jade at the Manila Hotel, a 15 minute walk. The Yong Chow fried rice was enough for 4, so beware Very good food and selection.

I would recommend the Dusit Thani to anyone looking for a hotel in metro-Manila. My family and I frequently crossed the street to a wide variety of food venues, shopping, convenience stores, and even a grocery store found at the Glorietta, Greenbelt and SM Malls. Located in the Greenbelt Mall which is about a ten minute walk into the center of the mega mall, there is a local restaurant called Via Mare that has the most fantastic authentic Filipino desserts! After we ate and shopping, we would spend time with family outside of Manila, which was easy to do due to the close proximity of the major highways. Also, in the backyard of the hotel lies a beautiful, quaint little garden with a pond, waterfall, and flowers perfect for souvenir picture taking! A+ to everything at the Dusit Thani!

Staff are friendly, good location, clean rooms. If you are okay with a loud air-conditioner then you are okay to stay in this hotel. We asked the maintenance to check it, all they did was to clean the filter and said that is the normal sound of their air-conditioners. Compared to other 5star hotels we stayed in Metro Manila, their air-conditioners did not sound like that.

My parents stayed there. They liked the room, which is quite spacious compared to some hotels they stayed in Singapore, and reasonably well maintained. Breakfast is quite good, with a wide selection of food. My 6 yr old daughter enjoyed the swimming pools there, even though they are not very big. The location is great for us, as it is near our condo, and within walking distance from Bonifacio High Street where there are a lot of restaurants. Plus BGC is not too far from the airport (a few km), or the other attractions in Metro Manila such as Manila Bay. I would not go as far as to say it is the best hotel in the world (a question posed to us in the invitation to this review), but in our case it was our best option.

The location in Makati is unbeatable. Short walking distance to the Greenbelt, Landmark, and Glorietta Malls. Wireless internet is now available in all rooms, but is expensive for six hours and expires two days from first use). Breakfast was delivered promptly every morning. The guest room attendents were responsive and friendly. The security at the front door were excellent; always helpful and able to hail the appropriate cab (not all cabs will go anywhere in Metro Manila).

Tune Hotel is a brand new budget hotel in the Makati area in Metro Manila. To my surprise during my stay, it was opened two weeks before I arrived there. The staff was very nice and attentive. The room was small but adequate for two people. Everything just felt new. You can still smell the construction because it's still ongoing at certain parts of the hotel, mainly the outside, but it didn't bother us because we woke up before they started work. The hotel is conveniently located with enough restaurants, bars and convenience stores nearby. It is also not a far walk to the Greenbelt, Glorietta, the Landmark and SM malls. The idea of Tune Hotel is to promote being green and not being wasteful so you have to pay for internet, toiletries, air conditioning to name a few. Fortunately, booking through agoda, my room came with everything so I didn't have to pay extra. For three nights, it was worth $20 US dollars a night.

Metro Manila has a tremendous amount of traffic, getting anywhere takes a lot of time. The location of the Diamond was closer to the tourist destinations that were of interest to me - Intramuros, Malate, Ermita and the ferry to Corregidor Island. Walking the area around the hotel requires an adventurous spirit...some travelers may not feel comfortable with the "bohemian-native" feel. Like any big city there are homeless that dwell in the shadows of 5 star hotels. If you're looking for malls, shopping and a developed/modern feel I would recommend the Makati area.

My first stay a the CGG in Makati Ave. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with a huge king bed and good fittings. Great bathroom with separate shower... loads of hot water too. The in-room WiFi was excellent - fast and stable. Have a nightcap at the cool and stylish Sky Bar on the 32nd floor to take in the amazing views of Makati, The Fort and the greater Metro Manila. For the price, I'd say the CGG is fantastic value. I will certainly be back again.

My wife and I were so busy with completing end of the work projects we didn't make Holiday plans in advance so we booked a last minute stay at Makati Diamond. We've booked other "staycations" before in Metro Manila and this time was more memorable as even though the hotel was packed due to Christmas, their stay was very courteous, friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating and also checked up frequently to make sure our needs were met. Makati Diamond has a very efficient staff with an ideal location right next to Greenbelt mall so we can walk across the street for shopping or dining. Makati Diamond also serves complimentary Toby's Estate coffee. One down side is they do not have room service but their restaurants and bars are open 24 hours.

In all of the hotels I've been to in Metro Manila and perhaps the whole Philippines, Pan Pacific has the nicest staff. Everyone, and I mean all of the staff, was very polite. There was always someone to open the door for me almost every single time I enter or leave the lobby. They only missed one and that's very forgivable. In terms of the courtesy of opening doors, I'd score them the highest - this matters a lot to me. Also, almost every staff member we pass by the hotel would greet us. One thing I really appreciated was the personal thank you note of the housekeeping staff or the "butler." I think it was really thoughtful so they should keep it up. The amenities in the room and in the bathroom were also almost complete (I wish they had a shave though). I love the separate bathtub - one of the reasons why I chose this hotel during this trip. It was also not too far from the venue where I watched a concert and less expensive than the other 5-star hotels in the area. The hotel taxi/transport service was a nice touch but it was more than three times the usual cost if you'd take a regular taxi. The neighborhood didn't feel that pleasant. I seldom go to Malate/Ermita. The area always seemed a little dangerous to me. I know there are other luxury hotels around but security in the area is not that tight compared in Makati. Just when I thought I was about to end my trip without any incident, I had a little brush with danger. On my second night, I hailed a taxi to take me to the concert venue. I got to the taxi and the driver started talking nonsense so I realized he was under the influence. I really thought I was going to be robbed especially when we passed by a dark street. Moral of the story is be careful when calling taxis on your own. I don't blame the hotel for that. I'm just sharing my story to warn others. I'm still giving a perfect score for the hotel.

This Egyptian owned property is adjacent to a major chain shopping mall and is within walking distance of Metro Manila trains and other transit. Although the gym could use an elliptical machine, the old equipment is well maintained and the pool is extremely good for an urban hotel. Breakfasts are ample and the staff have been exceptionally kind - even to a point of allowing an extension of stay. It is NOT a luxury property, but if a traveler is looking for good, clean accommodations with a fitness centre that actually exists and works, try this place. You will not be sorry. 270 piso from NAIA Terminal 2, 150 piso on the black bus that leaves a traveler directly across the street at the mall. 1 slight catch; The bus runs erratically due to traffic. Hotel is 3 blocks from Manila Bay. . Grade A-.

Staff: It's best asset from the entrance where guards were very respectful and courteous while properly checking guest bags. They were also very helpful in directions. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and friendly. The personnel who knocked on the door were courteous when asking for any needs. Escolta and the gym also had friendly personnel. The food in Escolta, however, was a bit limited if i compare to other hotels in Metro Manila. Oh, and it would have been great if we had an ironing board in our room. Although the room that was booked had two beds, ehhh, i guess it was okay anyway that we had a large bed. Would i come back if my future meetings should be near Manila Peninsula? Yes i would.

the hotel was just a few mtrs. away from naia 1 & from moa. it was a small hotel contrary to those who are situated in other areas in metro manila & makati but the room is quite enough for 2-4 persons + 1 who can still sleep in the divan near the window. we just don't know if they charge for extra persons who want to stay in 1 room. anyway, we found our room clean from the doorstep to the bathroom. the buffet breakfast was nice though there was only a few choices but for my husband & me who were always on a strict diet, it was pretty much okay.well, it was a pleasant stay that we can recommend to friends & relatives who are planning to stay overnight, a couple of days or more.
