It is a great experience to stay at Volstrup Apartments, the equipment is well kept, and the rooms are clean.
The 3 bedroom apartment was of good size and plenty of room. It's a bit dated and in need of renovation. But for the price it was ok. The internet was mediocre. Sometimes it did not work at all. Breakfast was ok if you stay only one night. Overall it was a good stay.

Agora seems to be the only website that still calls this hotel First Hotel Europa after a couple of years of having it's name changed. This hostel is called Scandic Aalborg and was good. The naming error resulted in a costly taxi ride and a delay in finding the correct hotel, ams the First Hotel on Aalborg's waterfront is NOT the same hotel.
This is an adequate hotel if you arrive late in the evening by ferry into Hirtshals port as it is only a very short distance from the docks. It just gets you over the first night. My stay was much better than I could have expected. I rated everything a five when some could be a six. If I ever get back to Thisted , I know where I will stay .

The stay was nice enough and with a GPS it was easy to find.
