Great environment and so close to Thailand's best tourist place, floating market in Samut Sakorn. Friendly environment to children and cozy living areas. Rooms are nice and clean with comfortably bed. Nice design of bathroom is really cool and unique. Love it!

We spent a weekend at the resort which made us feel so happy and relax by the interesting story/ concept of local Thai lifestyle throughout every single design of each facilities and very well landscape. We love the relaxing area by the river, a buffalo cafe. The Rustic Rose restaurant served very tasty Pasta and Steak. Kati and Kala, the lovely buffalo are well take...

We spent 2 nights in this Retro-Hotel. The rooms are in 2-storey building around a Buddhist-Garden looking like a Thai-village. We had a Deluxe room without windows to look out but with a antique spacious bathroom with golden water taps. The fridge was empty same as the hotel… every staff on duty but we were nearly the only guests (Monday/Tuesday in July on low season...

Located right at the riverside, great ambiance with good selections of musics. Personalized service, attention to detail especially the food presentation and most importantly taste amazing....super cozy and its the best place if you want to be alone. The hotel is located within the Amphawa floating market area, which is the main reason we chose it. When we first arrived we were disappointed with the room which was upstairs and next door to a service lift. The room was small and basic. So we asked to change and paid 200 baht more for a bigger room downstairs next to the coffeehouse/breakfast area. I had concerns ab...

We stayed 2 nights. The hotel is very quiet during the week, but during weekends and holidays many Thai families are also visiting the hotel. The rooms are grouped in Thai style buildings, but not overly clean. For us it was sufficient. When we wanted to visit Amphawa or Samut Songkram we got a free transfer from the hotel to town. For the return we could call the hot...

This is a small family owned resort. But the owner make many details like a four star hotel. Clean room and good bed with four pillows. You even get safety locker and varieties of free minibar. We get coconuts as welcome drink. Night milk for the children. The breakfast was arranged in the door table, you see the pool and enjoy breakfast in your private area, very del...

The resort is 2 years old, for 3 stars you get soap, shampoo, towels, free coffee/tea 24h and free drinking water. Hotel is not far from Floating Market. Lots of beautiful Temples are around the hotel. Located in homely and quite location - nice getaway location. New and VERY CLEAN spaces room. Nice restaurant just in-front of the hotel. Hotel offered to us free late check-out without any botheration until 2 pm. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Villa Amphawa with my lovely taiwanese girlfriend on July. It was the most memorable hotel since we travelled together. The hotel was built as coloniel style and located in the green scenery atmotsphere. All staffs were very accommodate with a big smile on their faces. You can book some sightseeing tour with them accordingly too example a fire fly tours, an...

If one expect to be on the spot of the bustling floating market, Yao In Chan would be the wrong choice. We were looking for a real retreat after staying in Bangkok for some weeks, Yao In Chan is probably the best solution for us. It is located in Banprok, with a 10 min distance (by Tuk Tuk) to Amphawa Floating Market. Since the market starts from the afternoon and ...

This place was very good the down point were far from the market or any convenient store and doesn't have pool. You will need to have your own transportation if not would recommend to find some other place. Apart from that the resort was nice right next to the river. Offered the Thai style breakfast and a bit of western choices. My family booked 4 rooms in total (delu...

It's our second time staying at Dream Garden Resort. Both times were great. The resort is very quiet and filled with greenery. The rooms are really big and clean and the staff is very friendly. Amphawa floating market is a 8 min drive away. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I definitely recommend the location.

Lovely hotel, friendly and very helpful staff. Tasty breakfast with a variety of choices from the buffet. We took a boat organized by the hotel to the floating market and to see the fireflies. The room was comfortable and clean. Only complaint is that the street lights shine into the superior rooms so maybe blackout curtains would be a good idea.

Fantastic location! Easy enough to find and literally situated above the floating markets - just open the french doors onto the balcony and BAM! Super friendly staff greeted us in the cafe downstairs upon arrival, and asked us what we would like for the following breakfast and at which time we'd prefer it (and honestly, it was probably the best breakfast we'd had in ...

My stay was overall very relaxing. I stayed there on a normal weekday and so the floating market shops were all closed. I did not mind it because everywhere it was quiet and peaceful.I did book the room with bathroom. On my arrival I found out that the room is the room downstairs. From the presentation on the booking i thought it would be a room with a view. The room ...

I really planned to lower my expectations as this trip was real last minute one and the only room left was from them (esp they rated themselves 2*). My mate & I were surprised!! 1. Customer Service: Really friendly owner.. And very extremely helpful one too. We had nice chit chats at night before bed.. And felt so at home. 2. Cleanliness: No, you don't expect it t...

it was one of a kind. We came in very very late - 2AM because of delay at the immigration at Don Muang Airport but they were very accommodating to still welcome us with a smile. The staff are very friendly and eager to help but do not speak a word of English making it difficult to communicate. The home stay is a 15 boat ride to Amphawa not steps away like it says in the write up. That was a huge disappointment for us as that was the purpose of our visit to the area was to see the Amphawaw floating market. The rooms are very clean and the most ...

the hotel location is not very close to Amphawa floating marking. You cannot walk to the market but there is only 20THB per person for motorbike taxi or TukTuk. I booked the room with triple beds. There were 1 queen bead and 1 single bed. The beds were not soft; there're quite hard which I think someone can have a sleeping problem with these beds. There was no hair dry...

We stayed for four nights at the resort. The villa was very clean and comfortable, set in pleasant gardens. Breakfast was taken next to the river each morning, where it was also possible to enjoy a drink. There was a large restaurant next to the resort. Very nice stay in this hotel. I told them we'd be arriving on bicycles and they had printed custom signs with my name for bike parking! Nice attention to detail. Rooms aren't huge but are very clean. Shower and air-con worked well, bed was comfortable - 4 pillows on the bed, which you don't usually see in budget hotels. Electronic keycards worked well for security. It'...
Cheap places to stay in Samut Songkhram Province

The hometown is a cozy, cluttered little place that is easy to find on the main drag. I had booked a single room with a shared bathroom, but out of consideration for me, apparently because the private room was on the upper floors, and there is no elevator, she put me into a bunk bed room on the second floor. I was the only one in the room, a convenience I much apprecia...

This was the cheapest room here without much facilities. It was a fan room though without TV. If you don't mind having all these and wanted to stopover for 1 night, then you can choose this room. The hotel has other options available. Parking lots available. The hotel staff are friendly too.

Walk from Amphawa market along the river, not need to use the main road after u came down from van. Just along the river towards the home stay direction. U would find a small bridge behind the shops at the end of the Floating Market, cross the bridge and reach in few steps away. Very convenient. Fireflies trip is cheap and worth the money. Go during raining day it woul...

We would stay here again. The rooms are spacious, beds and linen very comfortable and for the price range (budget), this is one of the best standard hotels that we have stayed in throughout thailand. Cons - no kettle in room & breakfast just toast and coffee (or thai rice/soup) but fills a hole!

At first we booked and sadly there was a mistake with agoda, but the owner, Thong and his wife bring us to his friend and picked us up on next day. He drive us to the railway market and on the next day to minivan bus stop. All that just for helping us! He give us a present and tell us a lot about some places and culture. It was a very nice time an a lovely place to be....

We stayed one night in Baan Pai Fah on March 7th. We arrived to Amphawa in the morning around 10am. I'm not going to lie, looking for this place was quite difficult. Luckily, we were able to contact the owner of the hotel via telephone. They instructed us to wait at the Kodak store where we borrowed the phone and came to pick us up and back to the hotel. This little co...

Just a short ride from Amphawa Floating Market, this property has small bungalows set among the coconut farms. The room is basic with bed, shower, tv and fridge, but the property is beautiful and the peace and quiet wonderful. They even provide breakfast! Just a short stay this trip, but we'll be coming back again soon

Very nice and clean place, perfectly nice and helpful staff which speaks very good English. They prepared diner for us because we arrived late. The breakfast was made specialy for us because some of us are vegetarian and they prepared a special dessert for us because we asked about their local meals. The location is a bit far from the beach and city center, but it was...

Great room, super clean and comfortable. I had a beautiful balcony (higher floor) overlooking the canal. The breakfast terrace is enchanting. Located about 10 minutes from the floating market area. If you're looking for a peaceful destination, this could be your answer for short stay. Best for those who has their own vehicle to access the resort. Staffs are very helpful. The best part is there's monks rowing a boat in the morning. So we can offer food to them.

I chose this hotel as I thought it was close to Maeklong, but actually about 5km away, via village roads. It was hard to locate as all its signboards were in Thai. Luckily I had arrived here with my own transport. That said, once you have settled in and have gotten your bearings, this is a lovely place to stay. The resort is still new, hence the very clean rooms. Comfo...

Overall experience at Lumphawa was very good. The room decoration is modern and nice. Most importantly, it's very clean and staffs are very helpful. I also realized all the materials used in the hotel are high quality and safety concern which is hard to find in local chain hotel. The hotel is slightly far from Amphawa, needs to take Tuk Tuk around 10 mins (100baht) but not too much concern as you can relax in the hotel. Owner is very nice and assist to book a private boat to take us to Amphawa and also to see fire flies in the evening (1200 baht p/boat). Having a private boat is certainly the best as it will take you from the hotel directly a...

Modern hotel with helpful and very thoughtful friendly staff. Our bed was a delight to sleep in. Air conditioning efficient and not too loud, I am a light sleeper. Our breakfast on day 1 was a misunderstanding rectified perfectly from day 2 on as cooked to order. Bit strange to have to repeatedly log into wifi but really not end of the world and manageable. Would stay ...
