Saxony-Anhalt hotels & accommodations

the hotel is quite old, but still in good condition. I think the management maintain it quite well. However, not everyone speak good english, since the hotel located in east side of Germany. the city of Halle is quite interesting, since it's the place of Bach.. if you are classical music enthusiast, you should know him.

The reception service is fast and efficient. The room is clean and OK but no coffee/tea facilities. I've requested for double bed but were given 2 single beds joined together which created a gap in between when i shifted from left bed to right bed. In the room brochure stated that one of the restaurant opened from 2pm to 10pm but when i went down the staff said no chef...

The Dorint Charlottenhorf was chosen for an overnight stay given its proximity to the train station (for an early morning start next day). From reception to checkout to experience was wonderful. I was only there for 14 hours but reception provided helpful details on getting back to the train station (Google maps doesn't take into account current building works!), the b...

I have to upgrade to Business Room on the spot to get away from railway track, as all basic rooms are facing the railway station and it is a bit noisy starting at 5:30am in the morning. This is the disadvantage of staying near train station. The windows need to improve for its sound proofing. The Hotel does not have Air-Conditioning and recently summer temperature goes...

We stayed one night in this hotel in a very quaint little German village. We arrived late at night and there was no one to check us into our room. We called the number on our reservation and the proprietor drove over and let us in. The room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a typical German one, but the food was plentiful and delicious.

This is a great hotel a few hundred meters down the road from the train station and just around the corner from the start of the old town. The included breakfast was great additional value. Wittenberg isn't a big town and there aren't many other places to lodge. People usually go there for one reason: the birthplace of the Reformation. Staff are friendly and helpful bu...

For a 4 Star Hotel I was disappointed that staff in the reception didn’t speak English. When we asked about the more cost on a upgrade of our room the receptionist didn’t understand our request and answered “yes it’s okay, children are free up to 12 years!” We sat in the lounge to watch the World Cup finals and were offered no service. We stayed for 3 days and on ...

The room was very cosy and comfy and had a superb direct view of the Wernigerode castle out of the window. The staff couldn't speak English, but were super helpful and could communicate still with our body language. Breakfast spread was small but nice and sufficient.

One of our trip members was disabled and unable to get up star is with his walker. The rooms assigned to us where on the 84th floor. When we asked for a lower floor room there was not one available. T We had to take 1 lift to the 1st floor up then walk a long hallway to find out the lift to the 84th floor was broken. We returned back to the check in and got a room afte...

We liked this hotel because of its quiet rural location. It's about 15 minutes from Wittenberg. It's not a place to stay if you are looking for nightlife or a choice of restaurants, unless you are prepared to drive back into Wittenberg. The hotel does have a restaurant, but we didn't eat there as we just had a snack in our room.

On arrival, we found a note on the door saying the hotel was closed for refurbishment and our bookings would be honoured at the 4 star Theophana hotel am Markt. Theophana was excellent, newly refurbished and staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Romy in the restaurant who probably wanted to be going home when we were still finishing our evening meal...

We booked an apartment as per the pictures on the website. As shown, it should have had a sofa and table plus armchair, also a small dining table. When we arrived we were given a room with a double bed, two kitchen chairs, a small table, a miniature version of a TV and a 80's cabinet. After complaining to the staff that this room does not reflect our booking we were g...

The rooms were excellent with great bathrooms very comfortable beds and pillows in particular and the breakfast buffet style gave great choices of cooked items and quality fruit with cereals and good fruit juice. The coffee was also very tasty indeed excellent help given by the reception staff when needed
Cheap places to stay in Saxony-Anhalt

This was our second stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the fresh and clean atmosphere of this historic building, the amazing kindness of the hosts, the spacious room and interesting surroundings! We shall return! With appreciation and our warmest recommendations - K & H Fox

We booked the hotel because we had an early flight from airport Halle-Leipzig. For that purpose it served us well. It is a bit far away from Leipzig city center and one would need transportation. However, the hotel is ideally suited for company meetings and conferences. Rooms are according to good Holiday Inn standard.

Really good accomodation in the right place - and you get a free pass to the "Therme". Breakfast also very good and staff very helpful. Most important: the restaurant is open and busy on a Sunday night, with good food. The other places looked rather bleak. Unfortunately I couldn't get the WiFi to work and noticed this only when all staff had gone home. You do need to ...

Quaint little hotel in a beautiful town. Parking is at nearby public car parks but this was not a problem. I would love to stay again. Cons are that you will have problems if your mobility is limited and you have a non ground floor room. The WiFi doesn’t work in all rooms.

A really charming hotel that lived up to its name. Our room overlooked the pedestrian-zoned town square with its lovely historic buildings.
