walk out of the station on the right side exit and before you is the hotel .... check in was a pleasure with courteous staff giving you a map of florence without asking..... the room was superb overlooking the station without any of the street noise coming through.......bed soft and very comfortable.....the breakfast is outstanding with such a variation of food this is the best 4 star hotel i have stayed in throughout europe and would not consider staying anywhere else in florence if i ever return....

Hotel Veneto was by far my most 3 comfortable nights stay in Florence . The only sad side, having to walk about 5-7mins from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station (Florence railway station.) With it crackly tiny road, pulling my heavy luggage to this hotel was a real killing moment. But upon arriving to my room, from the tired face becomes happy face. The hotel management was very kind and engaging. He would list down the places I can visit and its best timing to visit. My king size bed was bigger than what I have expected, so it felt luxurious for me. Bathroom/toilet were a little small but they had all the amenities needed for my stay. They do change both towels and bed sheet everyday. What's even better was my room was situated on the ground floor just beside the breakfast hall and patio. It allow easy access to the breakfast hall in the morning. I will definitely book again when I visit Italy again. Thank you!! :D

We stayed for a night @ Veneto Residence. The room was clean , comfortable and at good location. The staff was very helpful and walked us through the entire Florence map and the must see attractions in a single day. They helped us to keep our luggage's even after checkout. We got a room with very good view to see the cupola of Duomo cathedral. Would definitely give a star rating and will prefer to stay here during our next visit. Recommendation to Hotel : If they keep a electric kettle in room it will definitely help customers to prepare hot water , tea etc...

The location of the hotel was very convenient for us as we were traveling by train. It was on the street directly opposite the train station about 5 minute walk. The concierge was standing at the gate and helped us in with our luggage something we didn't experience in any of the 4 star hotels in Italy. Check in was quick. The room itself was very nice and clean and very modern and spacious. The best room we had in Italy 4 star hotels. Also the breakfast only includes what's on the menu and if you even order an omelette you would have to pay for it and you are not told about this when you place the order. They just get you the bill after they get the food. I was used to ordering an omelette without any charges so something to keep in mind. Rest of it was good. I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location was super! Nearer to Firenze SMN Train station than I thought. On Google Maps, it certainly looked further. Also just beside the bus station where you can take the official shuttle bus to the Outlet Mall in Tuscany. There's a Carrefour express located just beside the hotel too. There seemed to be not enough seating for breakfast though. But I think they are either undergoing some renovation or building a new restaurant/cafe in the hotel. Room was ok except for the shower. The shower area was in the corner (shower tray concept). But there seemed to be one "missing" glass panel. I'm not sure if this was due to design. So each time we bathed, the whole toilet will inevitably be very wet! Will recommend to those who wish to stay in a relatively centrally located area!

We will recommend Plaza Hotel Lucchesi to any friends traveling to Florence. The location is perfect - 6 blocks from the Uffizi Gallery and easy walking to all sites. Best of all was the staff. We had originally planned to stay 2 nights, and wound up making it our base for 5 nights in Florence and Tuscany. We felt that we were known and cared for by all staff - at the front desk, concierge, restaurant, and housekeeping. They called me while we were sightseeing and were nearly as happy as I was when my lost luggage arrived. Can't say enough about Plaza Hotel Lucchesi. It exceeded our expectations and made a wonderful base for our trip .

I love to travel and I love hotels. My wife and I are on our honeymoon traveling all over Europe. Firenze Number Nine (FNN) was our second stop after staying at the St. Regis in Rome. FNN Was just as amazing in their own unique botique way. Incredibly helpful with suggestions of sights and booking tickets. Alessandro sat us down as soon as we arrived and welcomed us and gave us all the basic info of where to go and what to see. Yanni was there for us at every request! Angela was incredibly sweet and could not have been friendlier. The hotel is located near everything. But florence is so walkable it doesn't matter. The room was VERY large with original frescos on the ceiling and original floors. How could it be any better? If you are thinking about this hotel just book it and enjoy. The tile in the bathroom is heated. You also have access to the spa downstairs. I can't wait to come back to this hotel! Really top notch in every aspect. I did not eat there so I can't review the food but I'm sure it's amazing. The Lobby smells wonderful.

The views are exquisite. I highly recommend booking a room with a balcony. My single room was small but more than adequate to serve my needs. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. I understand there is breakfast and coffee served in the parlor area from 7 am to 10 which is included with some room rates and/or 10 Euro fee for others. I didn't partake so I cannot comment beyond that. The location is right in the middle of everything; plenty of restaurants, shopping entertainment in the streets, the leather market and more. It's walking distance to so many wonderful things. The noise level is a little high from the streets at night. It's not terrible though. I think that may be the "only" slight drawback of my "room with a view" location. I'd absolutely book the same hotel and same room again anyway. Wonderful hotel!

We had such a lovely stay and fully appreciate why this lovely family business has earned its 4 stars. The staff were so polite and helpful, the room, which included a dressing room, wad clean and spacious and clearly much thought had been given to making the environment as comfortable as possible. This included a lovely varied breakfast (continental - my preference) but there was a good choice of fruit and eggs and bacon if you wanted it. The complimentary afternoon tea was a nice touch. Maybe a glass of wine will be included too if they reach 5 stars! Loved this place and would thoroughly recommend it!

We stayed one night in this hotel during our recent visit to Italy and were not disappointed. It's located only about 2 blocks from the train station; however, the signage does not stand out, so we passed right by it while we were looking for it. The hotel is well maintained and new. The staff was so helpful to us - can't say enough good things about the folks on the front desk. We had questions about the train station in Venice, which is where we were going after this, and the lady at the front desk not only looked for "associated" hotels where we could store our overnight bag, but, when she couldn't find any, determined that we could store the bag at the train station. The room, by European standards was spacious; although, as we discovered, the air conditioning is challenged for our desires (however, we did not give the management the opportunity to address this). If we're in the area again, we'll definitely consider this hotel, due to it's location, staff & facilities.

I traveled with my 3 sisters and we stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The hotel is not brand new and modern but it is kept very clean and tidy. The front staff is super nice and very helpful! We first came to check-in, we were offered with refreshments (water, orange juice, cranberry juice). Everyone at the front desk/staff were very kind, especially Eleonora who helped us with directions, best places to shop and eat! She was very sweet and always greeted us with a smile. The concierge staff is very fast! We requested for a bucket of ice in our room, not before long, we got it right in front of the door. The hotel location is excellent! It is central and next to the train station (S.M Novella Station). We didn't have to take any public transportation to get to all the famous attraction places. The hotel also has a small workout gym located in the basement. It is really a small gym but it is very clean and the equipments are functional. Excellent hotel with great hostility!

Amazing decor of this hotel, our room was painted in the style of 17th century and we really enjoyed everything about our staying: location - it is situated in the old town, 5-7 min walk to the famous Duomo, cleanness, breakfast and their soaps and shampoos are made with Tuscany olive oil. Little touches here and there to show that they care about people staying in their hotel. Hope you enjoy your as stay as much as we did!

Amazing property, staff, food, wine. A fantastic hotel experience. I would suggest not leaving the property, it's too enjoyable and the perfect place to relax. Indoor and outdoor pools, both with amazing views. A spa with a good massage therapist (only one therapist so book in advance). Great wine, food, service, a gym, bike rentals.... Very clean and big rooms, with screens on the windows luckily (all of Italy has bugs in summer so the screens were very welcome!) If you do plan to go vineyard hopping or exploring around the area - get a car rental for sure before you go to the hotel. Getting a rental there is super pricey and so are drivers. But the hotel also has a vineyard on the property with great wines so I would suggest just doing that and staying on the beautiful grounds!

I just returned from spending 10 days in Florence,stayed in this wonderful little hotel in the very center of the city.You can't wish for better value for money.The hotel is small,very clean,rooms are lovely and have everything you might need,the staff is friendly and helpful,breakfast is good-complete with delicious pastries.But the best part is the location.You're 2 minutes walk from Mercato Centrale and leather goods market,10 minutes walk from Duomo and in general walking distance everywhere.There are shops on the street,where hotel is located-including small supermarkets,restaurants,laundromat and everything you might need.It was really a great stay and if I was to return to Florence,I wouldn't even look for another place to stay because Hotel City is perfect.

Book for triple room and they provide us baby crib as requested. Room was on 1st floor but from the hotel lobby to 1st floor there is no elevator. But there is separate lift goes to another floor, I am confused of the layout of the hotel cause some floor has elevator some can't use the same elevator. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. Bathroom needs serious upgrade cause its smell funny, the shower door once it close it's hard to open from inside. Room size was big. There are construction on the road in front of the hotel so I assumed car cannot reach the hotel cause the road become so narrow, according to the receptionist the construction has started since 2 years ago and should be finished by now but there is no sign that it's going to be finish soon since no construction workers there to actually works on it. Walking distance from train station but not super close.

I booked a triple room with shared bathroom. At first, I think there will be long queue of people waiting for having a shower and toilet, but I accepted it for one night. However, they actually provide us a room with small space for taking shower and a wash bin. This makes me happy. Moreover, the room and shared bathro were clean and tidy. The lady at reception was very friendly and enthusiastic. The location is great as I and my family could walk to the local tourism attractions and atation. Although there were some people making noise at night on the street, overall I and my family were satisfied with one night at Hotel Ottaviani.

The location is outstanding, you won't get anywhere better. The rooms are very quiet and peaceful despite the central postcode. staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. When you're paying such a bargain price in the centre of Florence, you cannot expect luxury. THis hotel is very functional and basic - it has everything you need without any added extras. If you're looking for luxury/romance/boutique-style hotels, this isn't for you. If you want clean, cheap and cheerful with the best location in Florence, then it's perfect.

This is a lovely hotel very central within walking distance of everything you want to see. There are several restaurants in the same street but not far to walk to the center. The rooms are very small, but they provide a computer for your use and a power board. Bed was comfortable but pillows were hard, but that seems to be common in most places we have stayed. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had in the whole of Italy. The reception staff were helpful and allowed us to store our luggage when we went out for the day. Over all a comfortable stay.

The hotel was superb! It was nicely situated along the river. It was about a 20 minute walk to the ponte vecchio but it was such a lovely walk and there were great open parks and gatherings along the way. We were actually glad that it was a little bit away from everything or we would have missed out on seeing such a lively part of the city! The hotel and its staff were incredible. They had taxis and a free shuttle service so getting in and out of the center of town was very easy, but we still preferred to walk. The outdoor and indoor pool were a welcome during our stay as we were in Florence in July so it was quite hot, but the pool offered a nice escape from the heat. There are also so many wonderful touches that the hotel adds like flavored water and biscotti and candy jars at arrival and their custom bath products were great! The hotel offers great excursions and can even arrange a cooking class within the hotel. Our room was upgraded and it was so comfortable and roomy and honestly we didn't want to leave! The bartender Andreas was so kind and we looked forward to having our afternoon or evening nightcap with him upon our return to the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel enough. I will absolutely be back and there's nowhere else I would want to stay in Florence. The hotel has everything you could hope for and more!

I chose this hotel because of it's design and location. It is basically a White-color Hotel with Rose Motif on everything. After checking in, the A/C in our room started leaking so the reception came up to change room for us. I understand white is a very hard color to maintain so I didn't really mind the little details that have turned a bit off-white. I love the Rose shaped knob on the drawers, on the closet, the white heart shape on the curtain, the white and crystal deco in the dining room and lobby. The layout of the hotel is a bit confusing but you can get used to it very quickly. Breakfast spread was decent, the lady who served Coffee was super friendly and always greeted every guest Bonjourno and offered us coffee of our choice. It is also located about 10 min walk to one of the major site... reception staff was very nice and well-groomed as well. They also helped us to call taxi whenever we needed. And also helped us book a Tuscany Wine tour. The rooftop balcony is Room No. 1000 and the view was magnificient up there. You can see the Duomo from there and the reception lady even offered us 2 glasses of White Wine Complimentary from the hotel due to the room change. I Would recommend it for couples to stay as a base to explore Florence on a romantic trip.

Built during the Renaissance period the building and its rooms are old, but so is Florence. This hotel is in a perfect location with just short walk to sightseeing locations, markets, shops and eateries. Staff here are the best we have ever encountered. Very friendly and willing to help. Be warned there is no lift but they have a porter who will carry bags. This hotel has a wine cellar that was built in 1400’s and yes they will open a bottle.

First of all, i was extremely thrilled about its location. It was stated that it was located near the Santa Maria Novella station, but i didnt expect it to be so close, that it was visible right after we exit the station. The hotel being more than a 100 years old, is full of character. Charmingly decorated, and it has a surreal classical feel to it. The floor creaks a little, but it wasn't a bother. The only complaint i have, would be the heating. I couldn't sleep very well as the heating was on too high. Only after 3 nights did we discover, that it was a centralised control and we can simply ask reception to readjust it. This would probably the norm in Europe. But, we sure didnt know about it. The view from the 5th floor dining, is amazing!

We love this hotel and it’s location and have stayed several times. The staff are very friendly, efficient and always ready to help. Beds and pillows are very comfortable, this can be rare in many hotels. There is also a great roof top bar with a good view. The one thing I think that is missing is a coffee machine in the rooms. We really enjoy a coffee on getting up in the morning but don’t necessarily need breakfast, so it is very much missed. We have stayed at many hotels at the same price and star rating that do have something like a Nespresso machine in the room.

Only draw back to this place was the stairs up to its 3rd floor possie. Otherwise it's very central to the sights of Florence, and mid way between the two main train stations - app 15 minutes walk to each. The river isn't much further - and a bit of a climb then gets you up onto Michaelangelo Piazza, for the most amazing view of the city - without having to pay, and queue for an hour (or more) to go up the Cuppola or the Bell Tower (and thats often only possible if you bought your tickets the day before - best go straight to the ticket office if you plan to do those and are limited for time...) Hotel a bit tired, but perfectly comfortable, good breakfasts, nice staff, good value for the budget price we paid.
