Great experience - Definitely recommend ”
We booked the Roseate Hotel for 2 nights and upon arrival wanted to stay for our full 5 nights in Chiang Mai but they were booked a couple other nights. This hotel was our best experience and value for money by far. We got a room upgrade simply because they had it available. The only thing it didn't include which most other hotels did was breakfast. The staff were very friendly upon arrival, and we left our bags (without any issues) at the hotel for 2 days while we went trekking in the northern hills. The rooms were spacious, the hotel was very well maintained with clean rooms, the rooms had functioning air conditioning, and the rooms had safety boxes. It was beneficial being on the perimeter of the old city as all drivers had no issue accessing our hotel, and everything within the city limits is in walking distance. There were plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. The only area this hotel was a little ways from was the night bizarre on the east end of the city. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend ~$40 CND/ night.

First time in Chiang Mai”
There are plenty of cheaper places in Chiang Mai but that is not to say that Roseate was expensive. I found the hotel to be great value for money based on the above average standard and facilities. The room was a really good size so we could spread our stuff out and not literally have to live out of our rucksacks, also room service and fresh towels every day. In terms of location, Roseate is on the road just inside the rivee that surrounds the 'old city' of Chiang Mai. Within a 5 minute walk inwards, you soon come across both popular tourist and local restaurants, shops and massage parlours. Needless to say there is also a 7-Eleven just 30 seconds away also. Overall Chiang Mai is a lovely place that caters for couples, families and also travellers looking for a good time, particularly Zoe Corner. Also you must go to the Elephant Sancturay :)

Staff was very helpful and a great support!”
We stayed a whole week at the Roseate Hotel. During our stay in Chiang Mai we unfortunately had a bad accident and the staff of the Roseate Hotel was so pleasant and helpful to us! They supported us so friendly during our hospital stay. A big thank you the whole Roseate-Team!!! The room in the Roseate Hotel are very comfortable and cleaned every day. The bed and the mattress are really good and we have a fridge in our room, too. You also get two bottles of water every day for free. In the basement of the hotel there ist a nice lady who organize great trips for you - so you can ask her if you got any question. The location of the hotel is close to the old town and close the small water circle. From here you can do everything by foot. Two minutes walking distance there is also a nice streetfood market where you can buy very delicious things for reasonable price in the evening. I would book this hotel definitely again.

Wonderful Hotel in Chiang Mai”
We stayed 6 nights in the Roseate and loved the clean spacious room and the location of this hotel. We were on the edge of the Old Town Center and this is the place to be if you are staying in Chiang Mai. Our hotel was walking distance to numerous temples, great restaurants and small vendors. The Roseate has great helpful staff and the tour operator "Miu" located directly in the hotel was super helpful in arranging tours for us. We loved the ability to walk out of the hotel and be in the heart of the Chang Mai action. We found wonderful restaurants within walking distance from the hotel which was really nice. The morning breakfast has numerous options and was served in buffet style. We would definitely recommend this great hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Excellent!”
We stayed for 5 nights at Roseate Hotel and absolutely loved it. The staff were so kind and helpful. They helped direct us to different places in Chiang Mai and answered all of our questions. There are two travel ladies that work near the hotel restaurant who booked three of our tours. They made us feel so welcomed and excited to explore Chiang Mai. The hotels location was perfect! Close to restaurants, food stands, events, and bars. It was also close to a 7-11 which was convenient to get late night snacks and extra water. Thank you to the staff and travel agents who made our stay so special. ❤

Value for money ”
My 4 nights at Roseate has totally changed my mindset of the place from low expectations based on the price we paid to WOW. The room is cosy furnished with clean (spotless) linens. We slept very well each nights as the twin beds are comfortable. Inside the Room and surrounding is very clean too. We enjoyed Breakfast which is great with good spread of western and local breakfast varieties. Day Tour counter attached to Roseate is very helpful too and the charges are reasonable and even cheaper from outside. Highly recommended Roseate as the location is strategic at the old city with ample of street food, 7-11, Sunday Night Market, pubs and sightseeing.

Excellent”
Fantastic location with excellent range of shops and facilities nearby. Great rooms, clean, very friendly and helpful staff, a good breakfast, fantastic for how much it costs. Only negative is their own transport van is slightly over-priced, costing 100 baht per person and in a group of 4 it would cost us 400 baht to the bus terminal, whereas using a local taxi or red car costs around 110 baht and is very easy to grab given the great location of this hotel. I will definitely stay here on all my visits to Chiang Mai! Thank you Roseate!

Short Trip over Songkran”
We went to Chiang Mai over the crazy Songkran days. The Roseate hotel was above our expectations because of the modern style and the friendly staff. It is very well located. We received an upgrade to a deluxe room which was outstanding in size and comfort. No doubt that we will chose the Roseate Hotel for our next stay again!

Our go-to hotel in the Old City”
We live in Bangkok, and go to Chiang Mai about once a month for shopping and relaxing. We enjoy the Roseate because of it's great location and price. We don't need a pool or anything else fancy, so it's perfect for us. The main and important parts of the room (sheets, floor, bathroom) are very clean - I only ranked it lower because the screens and corners in the bathroom are often dusty or full of cobwebs. Not a huge issue for us, especially at this price, but it's worth mentioning. The only down side is that you can hear anyone in the hallways very clearly when you're in your room. Again, not an issue for us as we're heavy sleepers and usually go at quieter times. They have a family room, which is essentially two large rooms connected with a door, and a shared bathroom. I think it could sleep 6 people. It's not listed on Agoda, but you can ask them to upgrade you for an additional cost. It's on the top floor at the end of a hallway, so was also much quieter than a typical room.

Great hotel, very clean and centrally located”
I stayed in Roseate Hotel with my mother and girlfriend. We have been proposed a couple of very interesting tours through the hotel. The international buffet breakfast was very nice too. We all highly recommend Roseate Hotel for a short stay in Chiang Mai. The only thing we regretted is the lack of swimming pool.

Live in luxury in the big city”
Roseat was located among restaurants, taxis, and the city. The hotel itself was extremely clean, had a beautiful lobby, and offered a full, free breakfast. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Absolutely one of the best places I stayed in Chiang Mai.

Highly recommend this hotel”
I was a single female traveller and was so happy with this hotel. It's in the perfect position near the north gate of the old city so if you're getting a songtaew from anywhere in Chiang Mai, you can just tell them the "north gate" and they'll drop you there and it's a minute walk from the gate. The room was so clean and the staff super friendly. I got this room for $28 AUD a night too and it was fabulous. Aircon worked great. The place was quiet. Wifi was excellent. I have zero complaints and would definitely stay here again. It was really safe for a solo female traveller.

Decent Hotel, Great Location”
Roseate Hotel was spectacularly located in the Old Town, Chiang Mai. It was easily walkable to everywhere we wanted/needed to be, and it was within the parameters for tour groups to pick you up there. The room itself was nothing special and it seemed a little expensive for it, for Thailand, but it served it's purpose beautifully and we were able to have our laundry done for a fair price. (instead of dragging it to a laundromat - it would have been cheaper but much more of a hassle) I will say, save your money and skip the included breakfast. You could do better going to any of the numerable coffee shops around.

Good location and near to Sunday Market”
We stayed at Roseate hotel for 5 nights and counted down to the new year in Chiang Mai. The hotel is about 15 mins ride from the airport and is well-located near the Old Gate area. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the Sunday Night Market which you should definitely visit if you are in Chiang Mai. There are lots of food stalls and souvenir/handicraft stores at the market. It is also very easy to flag down a Songthraw from the front entrance of the hotel to shopping malls or other places of interest. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel.

Great little hotel!”
We had a very nice time staying at Roseate. We could walk anywhere within the Old City, and there were just enough cafes and restaurants nearby to keep us happy. The buffet breakfast was great with a wide variety of options. Roseate does not have a pool or offer massages, but it is otherwise on par with a 4 or even 5 star hotel. Very nice!

Great location!”
We enjoyed our stay at Roseate Hotel, the location, which is North of the Moat is fantastic! The hotel itself is pleasant, we first stayed in a Double Bed Room, which was really noisey, as it was at the front of the hotel on the main road. The next day we changed to a 2 Single Bed Room and it was at the back of the hotel, the room was bigger, not noisey and much more comfortable. The staff were helpful. They have a laundry service, which is great. Breakfast was an experience, they had so much going on, not your typical breakfast spread!

Great stay”
Thank you Roseate for a great stay in Chiang Mai. The breakfast was yummy, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean and comfy. It was the perfect place (and such a convenient location!) to come back to after a day of exploring a special city and the surrounding sites.

My pleasant first time in ChiangMai ”
I booked this hotel through 'secret deal' for fun. It is my first visit to Thailand and I did not have much time to prepare. The best thing about this hotel is genuine staff. They can be a little shy with English but were super resourceful and made my visit so pleasant. Located in the north edge of old town but a lot of attractions are within walking distance (within 10 to 20min). Of course you rely on red Songthaew (local trasportation) a lot in Chiang Mai but traffic can be bad and it could take longer due to many one-way streets. Breakfast is good enougth. Not big but menu differs from day to day. 'North Gate', an awesome jazz bar is just 30 seconds away. Hotel surrounding is quiet for good night sleep. One thing I was not happy at all with was wifi internet. It was on and off a lot during my visit. A lot of travelers use internet on daily basis. You can find free wifi cafe everywhere but I hope the hotel fix it soon. Overall, totally worth the money. I will visit here again. Thank you all the staff!

Excellent service”
This was a pleasant stay. The hot water was not working when we first arrived but within minutes of our informing the front desk, a technician was there and it was fixed quietly and efficiently. Location near the northern gate to the old city is very strategic, and this appears to be on of the quieter sides to the old city, so there was no problem sleeping. The room is large and clean, as is the well stocked bathroom. We would definitely stay at the Roseate again.
