i have been there with 3 friends for a little birthday celebration. we were amazed about the kindness of the staff and about the beautiness of the whole resort area with its magical pool and the beautiful clean thai style bungalows. We brought our own drinks and ordered reasonal priced food with the resort from an outside resataurants. if we requested earlier we could have had a massage lady for a treatment. there is a karaoke station. the pool closes in the late evening. it was a bit difficult to find but for that it is in a quiet and relanxing area with some local shops around a few hundred metres away. it was really peaceful but also not many guests at this time. i can imagine this resort also to go on my own, with a partner, or as a business person just to get away from the crowdy city. One of my best resort experiences in life! thanks and see you again soon!

If you are sick and tired from the city noise, this place is definitely a fantastic choice for you. The property will definitely charm any one who fancy a relaxing experience. The resort is made of Woden banglos each come with its own parking space. While you are there, you can reward your self with a bike ride around the rice fields which are within the resort property. The swimming pool is a bit small but the view is fantastic and beautiful. The breakfast is served at the restaurant which has a handful of choices that serves the purpose and need. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner along with a god verity of ice cream. A round 30 minutes drive from the city, but you are connected if you have a car or another transportation method.

Bit far from old town, if u were tired by noisy market, here maybe your best choice! Quiet, nice view, good design, delicious food, friendly staff and cheap rate. The rice is planted in this resort and strictly controlled, every Dec. will be the harvested, they serve those green food as guests' breakfast. Here, I could get my inner peace. The owner of this resort, Kun Wang, living inside this resort, he told many stories abt Thailand,PUKA and his family, he said PUKA represented the perfect merging of nature and human. BTW, his son is even a singer star!

What a different experience! We stayed here the last two nights of our stay due to other circumstances...we were annoyed at first to have to move, but were glad we got to spend two nights at the View Doi. The resort is WAY out I the countryside, and was very difficult for our driver to find...he had to stop and call the hotel three times. The hotel provides an airport shuttle and guides to hire for the day, but prices were way too high, easily twice or ore what we found at other hotels. That said, I'd be scared to take a random taxi or songthai from Chiang Mia back to the hotel...it was hard to find. The resort is beautiful, but probably 15-20 years past its prime. Great architecture and features and a pond with a rowboat, and all kinds of statues and artifacts, but much of it is crumbling or grown over. The meals were wonderful...no menu, we just ate what she had prepared for the night. Best part was our family suite. It covered at least 2000 square feet and included two large bedrooms and several outdoor patios, seating areas, and pavilions. We felt like ancient Thai nobility. Would recommend a night or two for the experience, but not as a base for Chiang Mai adventures.
