Review of staying at Senvila in June: A family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) stayed for 4 nights in a connecting room on the 1st(ground) floor. (한국어 후기 아래있음) Senvila is small but charming enough, and we are considering visiting again. Please refer to the pros and cons. 1. Pros * Excellent value for money * Very friendly staff * Pretty and cozy * Generally clean * Old Town shuttle service (once a day, leaves the hotel at 6 PM, leaves Old Town at 9 PM) * Free lunch with Banh Xeo for stays of 3 days or more, free one-way airport transfer for stays of 4 days or more 2. Minor Cons and Points to Note * The breakfast restaurant is very hot - the air conditioning works but is only as effective as a fan, making the restaurant very warm * Lots of ants in the first-floor rooms (personally not a big issue) * While the hotel offers great value, the massage and laundry services are quite dear * Free one-way airport transfer for stays of 4 days or more is only available from/to the airport, not from/to hotels in Da Nang (this was slightly inconvenient for us since we had plans in Da Nang before Senvila, but the hotel offered a one-way transfer to our next hotel in Hoi An instead, which they initially said wasn't possible at check-in but provided as a service when we inquired the day before check-out) * The location could be considered inconvenient, but Grab was cheap and arrived quickly, so it wasn't a big deal for us * Pool hours start at 7 AM, but for two days we were woken up by a large family shouting and playing from 6 AM (not the hotel's fault) I think noise depends on the luck of who else is staying at the same time. The natural hotel setting means bugs are inevitable, but as long as there are no mosquitoes, cockroaches, or bed bugs, I'm okay with ants and lizards. There were a few mosquitoes outside, but as long as you keep the room door closed, it's fine. We didn't see any mosquitoes in the room. Breakfast didn't have many options, but I enjoyed a few dishes more than at previous hotels. Especially liked the fish cake noodle soup and stir-fried squid. Room service chicken and drinks were also good. Despite listing some inconveniences, the hotel's pros far outweigh the cons. We would visit again if we return to Hoi An. The pretty accommodations make for great photos, and the pool water was clean. We really enjoyed our stay there a lot.
