“Great Location and Social Vibe”
Great location — very close to the center and easily walkable. There are lots of restaurants and tour providers nearby. The staff is really friendly and wonderful. One tip: don’t buy basic items at the hostel if you want reasonable prices. There’s a store about 200–300 meters away where the prices are much better (for example, a bottle of water is 35 pesos there vs. 150 pesos at the hostel). Also there is filter water, so keep a bottle. The breakfast was wonderful, and overall I had a nice stay. I stayed in a 4-bed dormitory which was spacious and had good facilities. There are plenty of common areas — seating areas, outdoor spaces, a pool, and a bar — which are great if you’re traveling in a group or staying long enough to meet people. Sometimes the party might run late in the night, get ear plugs if you want to sleep instead. There are a lot of lizards in the common areas, but none in the rooms. There are also separate bathrooms for women, which is great. However, the bathrooms in general could be a bit cleaner. There’s often a lot of sand and dirt from people coming back from the beach and island activities. Also, there’s no hot water. Apart from that, I really don’t have any complaints!
