“Mixed Experience Great Location but Room Needs Improvement”
The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect just a short walk to the beach and close to the masjid, with some of the GYG tour packages even offering hotel pickup. There’s also a convenient private tour desk right outside where you can book taxis and island trips. However, the room experience was not up to the mark. It seems we were placed in a newer building that still had ongoing work. There was noticeable noise from downstairs in the morning, and unfortunately, we weren’t informed about this in advance. The room also had white powder-like residue in the corners, and the bathroom sliding door wasn't functioning properly. While I had booked a pool view room through Agoda, I was given a hill view suite instead. That wasn’t a major issue for me, but it's worth noting. On the plus side, the staff were very helpful—especially when there was a mismatch between the Agoda booking name and my passport. They kindly made calls on my behalf to get it sorted out, which I really appreciated. In summary: Excellent location and helpful staff, but the room experience left something to be desired.
