Dear Tanibay Hotel Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction following my recent stay at your hotel, which I booked through Agoda. My booking was specifically based on the advertised availability of a swimming pool, as I was travelling with my two young children and wanted to ensure they could enjoy this amenity—especially given the hot weather at the time of our stay. However, upon arrival, I was informed that not only was the pool not included in the stay, but also that my children were initially not permitted to use it. I was then told there would be an additional charge of 200,000 KRW to access the pool and spa—something that was not disclosed at any point during the booking process. After raising a complaint, the hotel agreed to allow my children access, but still insisted on a discounted fee of 100,000 KRW, which I find unfair and misleading considering the pool was listed as an available facility during booking. Furthermore, the room’s air conditioning was centrally controlled and locked, resulting in an unbearably hot room temperature of 29°C throughout the night. Despite raising this issue with staff, no effective action was taken to address the situation. I was informed upon checkout that another room had supposedly been prepared, but no one followed up or communicated this to me at the time—leaving me and my children to endure an uncomfortable, sleepless night. Given the misrepresentation of amenities and the overall lack of comfort during our stay, I believe a full refund is warranted. Alternatively, I would be open to receiving a complimentary future stay that includes full access to the pool and a room with adequate temperature control. I hope you will take this complaint seriously and respond with a fair resolution, I am often asked for good places for our workers to stay and Tanibay was a nice hotel if the room was cool enough to sleep and the pool was very nice but it should be clear as not an available amenity. The room itself is really nice. The view of Ilsan Beach is great, and the bathroom is really good. It's nice that there are two sinks, and each twin bed has a door close to it for easy movement. I have back issues and sensitive skin, but the bedding and mattress are all good. The fitness center is alright too. Overall... everything is just great, and the breakfast is delicious.
It's great for going with a baby over a year old. Since it's a wooden floor and not carpet, it's hygienic, and we booked a place that has an ondol room as well. We were assigned the same room as the last time we visited... The overall condition of the room is clean, but I was surprised to find an already opened bottle of water in the fridge. Also, the floor in the shower booth seemed slippery and not cleaned properly. I didn't go out to the balcony, so I'm not sure about that. 😂 There's a convenience store on the 3rd floor of the hotel, and the bakery cake was actually below expectations, but the coffee was okay. The service from the hotel staff didn’t feel particularly friendly. The location is good, and since it has a spacious room with a wooden floor that’s great for going with a baby, I could go again, but I was disappointed with the cleaning state of the accommodation. I think people who like ocean views would enjoy this place, but it might be a bit noisy on weekends.
I stayed for a day because of my friend's ceremony, and I regret not being able to check in earlier, haha. I arrived after traveling from far away, and it was already getting late in the evening, but taking a half-body bath while looking at the sea was so nice, and the bed was so comfortable that I had a good night's sleep.

“Ulsan Family Trip Review”
Tanibay Hotel Family Suite, Best Value with Ocean View! (Including Honest Drawbacks) From September 13 to 14, I visited the Tanibay Hotel in Ulsan with my family for a 1-night, 2-day stay. Since there were many of us, we booked two family suites, and to conclude, it was a 'satisfactory accommodation that captures both the ocean view and value for money.' 👍 Advantages: Fantastic ocean view and excellent value 🌊 Above all, the biggest advantage was being able to use spacious family suite rooms at a reasonable price. As soon as we entered the room, the refreshing sea view of Ulsan visible through the large windows amazed the whole family. They said all rooms have ocean views, and indeed, it boasted a wonderful outlook. As expected from a family suite, the space was very spacious and comfortable, making it completely manageable for several families to stay together without any discomfort. The living room and bedroom were well separated, and I got the impression that the facilities were generally well maintained. With this kind of ocean view and space at this price, it can definitely be considered the best value for money. Disadvantages: Just two, prepare in advance! 🤔 Of course, there were drawbacks. I think it would be good for those planning to visit to keep these in mind. Slow air conditioning: When we visited, the weather was somewhat hot, and it did take quite a while for the room to cool down after turning on the air conditioning. This might be a characteristic of the central air conditioning system, but those who are very sensitive to heat might find it a bit uncomfortable. I recommend turning it on before going out. Lack of amenities: While shampoo and body wash were provided, disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste were not. Nowadays, many hotels are no longer providing amenities due to environmental protection policies, which is understandable, but if you visit without prior knowledge, you might be caught off guard, so make sure to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste!
