Excellent!”

Excellent!! We enjoyed our time at The Core Chiang Mai Hotel. The rooms were very clean. Staff speak good English and very friendly as well as helpful. Although the hotel is quite a distance from old city but it will not be a problem to travel between this two points by motorbike/bicyccle or just by tuk tuk/song tiaw. Motorbike and bicycle can be rented from the hotel. It is convenient to look for food as there are quite some restaurants around the hotel. Also, there is a night market just beside the hotel.

Cute, clean, modern and comfy ”

This was our second time in chiang mai and our second time at The Core. We just couldn't book any other place. Staff is always helpful and kind. Place is always clean. The bed is nice and soft and the location is just out of the busy main area so no traffic or hassle. There's a night market right next door and plenty of food around. We highly recommend this place. hope the prices stay constant ^_^

A clean hotel with a unique style”

My experience at the Core was great! The staff were kind. Everything was clean and seemed new and well kept. The decorative style was fun and unique. They provided complimentary drinks, snacks and toiletries in the room. They were flexible when I needed to add on an extra night stay at the last minute. It is within walking distance of the zoo, Chiang Mai university, the student night market, Maya and Think Park.

Beautiful modern hotel with amazing staff”

Had an amazing time at The Core Hotel. The hotel is extremely modern, clean with an amazing view from the roof top that you can enjoy during your breakfast! The staff was fantastic, extremely friendly and helpful with anything that we needed. As it was our first time in Chiang Mai, they were able to help us get around, book tours and give us any information that we needed. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chiang Mai.

New Hotel with a Nice Vision”

My son and I had a nice stay at The Core overall. Just FYI..the location is less than ideal if you plan to spend a lot of time in the city center. However, it IS close to Doi Suthep. Your songthaew or tuk-tuk may not be very familiar with the hotel, but if you let them know it's next to a large outdoor shopping center and is on the way to Chiang Mai University, you will get there! The hotel has a very new feel to it and is very clean. There is a medium sized pool to take a dip in and the rooms were very comfortable and well taken care of. I believe the identity is "eco-friendly"..not sure if it just for show or a real mission, but it's nice to see that in Chiang Mai. We stayed here for almost a week and had virtually no problems. However, one issue is that we did decided to spend a couple of days relaxing at the hotel, and there was still ongoing construction with a buzzing saw that was a bit unnerving. Also, laundry service was VERY expensive. Lastly, although they provided overall good service, the desk staff (looked like students from CMU) seemed bored half the time. A few of them dropped "F bombs" on each other as we crossed by the lobby one time. Kinda unprofessional, although they were lucky that I'm the type that uses the bomb from time to time myself. And they may not know the weight of that word to Westerners. But let's end on a good note...overall, it was a very nice stay and I'm sure they will get better and better!

I love the blue and white color tone, very comfortable. The whole building is new and clean. The staff is very helpful. The most attractive part for me is the roof top restaurant, it gives me a feeling of refreshment to start a new day. The location is also very good, just near the Chiang Mai University, and the night market nearby is really a good choice for dinner, as there is many students you can talk with, and the price is comparatively low. And we can get on the red bus easily, when we get back, also we just tell the red bus driver to the University, we can easily get back, just 30 baht per person. This is really a very good place to stay.

Very aesthetic hotel in a great location”

The hotel was very cute and nice. Really clean as well. Definitely worth the price. There was a pool and free wifi. The staff were very nice as well and the location was superb. About 15-20 min walk from the hotel was Maya Lifestyle Shopping Mall. There was a night market right beside the hotel with lots of 7Elevens nearby. I spotted some restaurants and cafes near the hotel as well, all within walking distance. If I were to visit again, would definitely stay at the Core again.

Don't even know where to begin! Location of the hotel was good as there were many restaurants around, night market was just probably 10 metres away from the hotel lobby, and since it was near the Chiang Mai university, food there was dirt cheap at the night market as they were catered for the students! 7-11 was just across the street, hotel was clean and comfortable, really nothing much that I can complain about. Amazing stay!! Only thing is that some staff members don't really speak nor understand English, but they were still polite and always smiling. Will be back!!

Very good”

The Core is a well maintained and a very clean hotel, rooms were very nice with fridge and kettle. Bed linen, towels etc were all first class. Good WiFi Location is a little out of town close to Chiang Mai Zoo but plenty of cheap buses to get you where you need to go, market next to the hotel nightly but not noisy. Staff could be a little warmer but they were not rude just efficient, one gripe was breakfast cost Baht 300 per person so for 5 people pretty expensive by normal Thai standards.

Great location with creative rooms and excellent staff”

We stayed 1 night at The Core as couple and enjoyed the creative paintings in rooms and all around the hotel, better than typical bed and exceptionally good buffet breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great right next to Mor Chor area where you can do cheap shopping and access to city is very easy. View from the rooftop was closed long time ago, and the pool is located right in front of reception, so you better feel comfortable people watching you. Otherwise the experience is very good, will very likely stay again.

Cozy hotel”

The core chiang mai hotel is located at a very strategic location. Very convenient and accessible to anywhere else. Love this place so so much.

Clean, tidy, next to the Chiang Mai University”

Staff are nice. They helped preparing birthday cake for my husband. Can check-in at night time. Suitable for self-driving travelers but their carpark needs to take 5 mins walk which is inside the Chiang Mai Complex. The decoration of lobby is nice and special. Double bed is combined by two single beds but I'm okay with it. The sofa with movable table is very nice and useful. Actually, the mini balcony is not much useful for short stay. Its space may only suitable for hanging few clothes or smoking.

Decent hotel but there are probably better options”

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The room was slightly smaller than expected based on the pictures but was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They need to have a pillow in between the current two however, as one was insanely thick and very firm, and the other was very soft and disappeared. Our only complaint is that there is a market right beside the hotel with very bright lights at night that the curtains did not fully block out. The rooms are updated but you can tell it is an old building, something which they try to fix by putting a big metal fixture outside to modernize which completely blocks your “Mountain View”. The staff were very friendly but were hard to communicate with as they barely spoke any English. Asking for basics for the room was easier but trying to ask questions about breakfast, laundry, or anything regarding activities in Chiang Mai was very difficult. If in Chiang Mai again I would probably stay somewhere else, as I do not think this hotel was fully worth the price paid.

Big room & comfortable bed!”

It was a great stay at The Core. Location was perfect, right below is a night market. Room was clean and huge! It comes with 3 connecting rooms that have 2 bedroom and 1 living room. Bed was really comfortable! The hotel lobby was decorated cool, trendy and artsy. Breakfast was great too! Highly recommended!

Very nice hotels and value for money.”

The hotel is very beautiful and stylish. The room is very clean and comfort to stay. All staff are very helpful and location is good. (near Chiang Mai university and the market, not far from Nimman) But one thing that I want to comment is the parking lot is not enough.

Lovely room and rooftop area, right next to a night market and food options!”

I booked in for a night recently during the Songkran period, and had a lovely stay. The room was as advertised, though slightly smaller than I'd imagined; in today's words, the entire hotel was very 'Instagrammable', and you also get a view of the mountains from loads of spots within the hotel, including the rooftop and pool. Speaking of the pool, it was small but sufficient when it's not too crowded. It's open too so I got a good tan! The minibar was complimentary, and includes water and some chips. Nothing fancy, but was a nice touch. Wifi worked well, no complains. Location wise, The Core is located some distance away from Ninman itself (which is my favourite area in CM and where I visit almost everyday for coffee), and a less than 10 mins red car ride from MAYA mall. Not a huge issue for me and my short stay, but just take note if you'd prefer somewhere more central. There's a local restaurant just across the road that's quite good, and an Amazon Cafe for a quick coffee fix just downstairs. From 5pm (not sure if daily) there's also a night market next door that has a food section with plenty of local options. Staff who helped with my checkout were extremely friendly, and prompt in assisting with arranging for a taxi to take me to the airport. If I'm ever back in Chiangmai, I'll definitely consider The Core again!

Very Funky Boutique Hotel. ”

The Core is a funky boutique hotel! It is so cute with many original touches. Their tie dyed theme is so refreshing. It is also close to get a Tuk Tuk, so although further out from the downtown to get a tuk tuk is very cheap and it is very close to get there. Very easy to navigate. The staff are amazing and the pool is clean. A wonderful place to stay.

Great Hotel”

We recently spent a few days at this hotel and we loved the Core. Contemporary, funky, young friendly Thais run this place very well. The rooms are not huge but well appointed and wonderful bedding ensures you will have a great sleep. Nice pool. Great cafe for breakfast. We will return

Very trendy hotel right next to Chiang Mai University, at the bottom of Doi Suthep, and an awesome arboretum. Great options within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions I may have had

City edge”

Liked this hotel's position, very close to Chiang Mai University and a gigantic food court+night market. Great value for the money. Large rooms, well cleaned, complinetary snaks and water and soda was very appreciated. Friendly staff and good thai style breakfast. Would definetly reccomend this property.
