“Best dormitory accommodation”
I stayed in a dormitory room at Moment Hotel, close to the entrance of Taroko Gorge, to travel through the gorge on a motorcycle. The room condition was very good and the facilities were excellent. I was particularly impressed by the devoted, quick responses and friendly service of the reception staff. Although they are originally five-star hotel employees, I felt I received a five-star treatment while using the dormitory~~ The next day, it looked like it would rain and traveling in Taroko would be difficult, so I immediately extended my stay for another night. There was also a kitchen where I could cook, so I bought ramen and beer from a nearby 7-Eleven to eat. I needed salt, and when I asked the reception staff, they kindly informed the hotel restaurant staff, so I was able to get good salt. I highly recommend this dormitory for travelers biking in Taroko Gorge and Alishan. Finally, I would like to thank the hotel staff for their kindness once again, and I will definitely visit again when I travel to Taroko from Korea.

“Cute contactless capsule hotel.”
Hotel is in a cluster of hotels of varying budgets near Xincheng Station. It’s a 20 min walk from the station but a 3 min taxi ride, and there were plenty of taxis at the station. This place is not in Hualien despite the name listed. Hualien was about a 30 min drive away so the location was a bit inconvenient for getting to Hualien since the buses were a little bit infrequent and unpredictable. There are buses to get to Taroko Gorge from Xincheng Station. The hotel itself was quite nice! Clean and cozy capsules with a nice built in consul with outlets for charging, convenient surfaces to put things and even a little fold down side table. Locker in room for storing luggage with two hangers and a separate cubby for shoes, a hook for hanging coats, and a cute Taiwan ama bag for carrying a towel and toiletries to and from the public bathroom facility. Male and female bathrooms were on different floors and key code access, and the bathroom was very clean with shampoo and body wash provided. Free washer and dryer in the bathroom. We were able to store our luggage before checkin, and when one of our party forgot the locker code they set, we were able to go to the hotel next door, and they promptly came with a key to help us. So despite being contactless, we were still able to get help when we needed it.

“Exceptional”
This hotel is new with modern amenities. I had a room on the fifth floor, with lovely views of the mountain and ocean from the balcony. We were able to walk to the beach in a couple of minutes. The room felt very luxurious. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom very clean and modern with heated bidet toilet seats! There is no restaurant in this hotel, but it has a large DIY kitchen and options to order meal kits to cook, which we did not try. Instead, we went to the restauant at the Lakeshore hotel, next door for dinner. Best meal I had in Taiwan on my trip! The food and the service was five-star quality, but at reasonable prices. There was even live music by a guitar player/singer at the bar/lounge area during the meal. Breakfast buffet is also offered, but cost is much higher so we did not try it this time. I would definitely stay here again.

“Beautiful place”
Extremely comfortable and beautiful place. Very eco friendly which we loved, so easy to get drinking water of different temperatures and super baby friendly. The hotel set up a bed guard and provided a good sized baby tub! We also enjoyed all the complimentary snacks and drinks. Although it wasn’t connected to the carpark, the hotel provided umbrellas to get from one building to another when it’s raining. The location is near Taroko which was what we came to Hualien for, although it would be slightly inaccessible if you don’t drive.

Ideal location with a brief stroll to the beach and stunning views of the nearby mountains. The entire property boasts a modern and comfortable ambiance, featuring a fantastic communal area with an impressive kitchen.
