“The best except for the service!!”
First of all, we had children with us and two families together. The moms took the kids to Shanghai, and since we only planned to visit Disneyland, we chose a place close to Disneyland. There is a Disneyland shuttle (about a 20-minute distance). No airport shuttle. To start with the downsides, it was slow. I sent an email requesting that they assign two rooms close together before we departed and asked several times in messages if they could handle the airport shuttle reservation, but there was no response. Eventually, a local made a phone call to get answers. The check-in also took a very long time. Be sure to print your reservation confirmation. They barely assigned us rooms but on different floors. No sense. So I requested to be on the same floor, and that took a long time as well. Eventually, we were assigned to connecting rooms right next to each other, but there was no sound insulation. I didn't ask if they would open the room door for us. I didn't ask them to open the door for the privacy of our respective homes. The Disneyland shuttle departs at around 8:30 AM, and it returns to the hotel at 10:50 AM (flexible based on closing time). For the sake of the children's and moms' stamina, we decided not to do an open-run and planned to go late and stay late. I made the reservation for the return to the hotel. They said they would give us WeChat on the day, so I thought it would work. However, even after 10 AM (closing time), WeChat did not come, and eventually, we were going to take a taxi, but the line was enormous, so we went out to the main road. However, people were all squatting and waiting on the main road too. When locals tried to flag down empty taxis, they refused once they heard the destination. Maybe they were trying to take customers going further.... We finally managed to catch a taxi at around 10:40 AM after much effort. The kids and moms were really exhausted. When we mentioned it during check-out, they said we had blocked WeChat. (The hotel staff added us by scanning our QR code at check-in.) In the end, we received the taxi fare in cash. There were many advantages as well. The carpeted floor was a bit concerning, but the cleaning was quite good. It was a bit more expensive compared to other hotels, but it was nice to have breakfast included for about 170,000 won for two nights. The room size was spacious, and there was definitely some food for breakfast. There was at least bread and fruit. I expected less, thus it exceeded my expectations. There was a Starbucks on the first floor and a McDonald's nearby that we didn't visit. And just across the street, there was a shopping mall which was really nice. We explored it in the morning before going to Disney. There were places selling children's toys and many restaurants, including a Korean restaurant. On the basement level, there were cakes, bread, and various foods; our kids ate Tanghulu every day. There were numerous shops such as Watsons, Uniqlo, Pop Mart vending machines, Miniso, etc., and on the first floor, there was CHAGEE, Starbucks, and Top Toy. Before checking out, we had breakfast and went to Miniso and Top Toy to shop right at the 10 AM opening time before checking out at noon. If we go again, if the shuttle is guaranteed, I would consider going again because of the price and convenience of the mall.
