On a budget? Find Cheap Hotels in Ansan-si, South Korea

"Clean and spacious rooms, good value for money, good location closed to downtown Ansan and to Ansan industrial area. Staff not very efficient, elevator not functioning well while the hotel is more than 20 floors."

"My daughter and I were in Ansan to visit my son(her brother) and his family. The Aura is located a short walk from his apartment and is also close to the subway line, so was very convenient for our needs. The surrounding neighbourhood is full of little grocery shops and restaurants - as is every neighbourhood there- and we never once felt unsafe or uncomfortable being out at night. The staff at the hotel was always friendly and helpful, and while they didn't speak a lot of English, we were always able to make ourselves understood. Coffee is available in the lobby all the time and there is a cooler with free bottled water, an absolute necessity for summer in Korea! The room was clean and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was stocked with things like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hairspray, hair gel, hair mousse and a hair dryer. There was also a kettle and instant coffee for those mornings when you just can't wait for breakfast! There is a tv, computer, free wifi and air conditioning. We requested and received a nonsmoking room, also a must for us. The only thing lacking in the room was a dresser with drawers to unpack your things and there weren't many hangers in the closet(our advantage was that we were able to borrow some from my son.) Also, washcloths don't seem to exist so I would suggest taking your own if that's what you like to use. Korean beds don't seem to be as soft as I personally would have liked - it's much like sleeping on a board- but I quickly got used to it.There is a laundry service- I think it was 8,000 won allowance per day (about $8) so you could get a couple of things cleaned if necessary. The breakfast room in the lobby was clean, and food was plentiful and delicious. We never did visit the exercise room; sightseeing is exercise enough! Checking in and out was speedy and efficient. In summary, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone."
