It's a hotel, but it has the atmosphere of an old inn, and the landlady was very kind. The accommodation fee was inexpensive, there was free parking, and it was in a great location right in front of the station, so I have no complaints. Landlady, stay healthy and keep up the good work. I look forward to using your services again next time.
It was a cold season, but there were items that had good heating, so I was able to spend time without feeling cold, and I didn't wake up at night due to the cold. There was shampoo, but it was a rinse-in type, so if you want to use proper conditioner, I recommend bringing your own. The morning coffee was delicious. The meals are said to be tasty, so next time I will opt for the meal plan. It is conveniently located in front of the station. The innkeeper was a kind person.
Despite the late check-in, I was treated with great care. The room was clean and I was able to rest comfortably. I feel it is better to stay at a family-run inn like this one than at a large chain. I stayed one night, and since work ran longer, I stayed another night. I stayed at three different places in the prefecture on the same business trip, and this was the cheapest and the best.
In the post-COVID era, with accommodation prices soaring everywhere, a rate of 4,600 yen for no meals is remarkably cheap. The availability of free parking is also appealing. It’s an old business hotel, but it is well-cleaned and has a sense of cleanliness. It seems the owner is managing it alone with great effort. There is a television, a relatively new air conditioner, a gas fan heater, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi. The amenities provided are just a toothbrush and a razor. The shower provides plenty of hot water. On the other hand, there is no toothpaste, hand soap, or conditioner, so it is recommended that anyone who needs these items bring them in advance. Also, there is no refrigerator, so cold drinks must be purchased at a nearby convenience store. By the way, access to and from the hotel is unrestricted, and guests do not need to leave their keys at the front desk each time. The room's internal lock is a simple knob that you twist in the middle of the doorknob; it is not an auto-lock. There is no door chain, so it might feel a bit uneasy for a woman alone. This is certainly not the type of accommodation where you can leisurely spend time with a loved one. However, there were none of the common issues found in budget hotels, like shabby rooms, insects in the bathroom, or bad odors; it was just what was necessary and sufficient. Previously, when I couldn’t find a hotel in Akita City, I would go all the way to Yokote, but I felt that staying in Ōmagari isn’t so bad either. I will probably rely on this place again for my next business trip to Akita.

Used for a room-only stay. There is a free parking lot on the first floor of the building. The building is older, but the room, except for the sliding doors, is clean. The bathroom and toilet are also well maintained and clean! The shower has good water pressure, and the temperature is easy to adjust to a comfortable level. As mentioned in the reviews, there is no refrigerator, but at this time of year, it's not a problem. There was absolutely no noise, and I was able to rest peacefully!
