Misleading Room Description”
Misleading Descriptions - Booked our hotel via Agoda with a description that the room has 2 beds and we paid an extra bed for another companion so that should be 3 beds already. I called the hotel to confirm if it is indeed 3 beds and they confirmed but when we arrived, there was only 1 bed (plus, the additional bed on the floor that we paid). Upon arrival also, the receptionist just told us to pay an additional of almost Php2,000.00 because she will be moving us to an executive room without even asking if we want it (we refused). I also showed her the screenshot of the description in Agoda and told her that 3 beds were confirmed by the hotel eeceptionist when I called but she just told me to just disregard whatever her colleague said. Staffs - Upon arrival, we requested for water, extra towel, and floor towel but we have to request it multiple times and were only delivered to our room at almost midnight already. The receptionist seems to be in a bad mood and doesn’t know how to properly welcome guests. Some of their staffs are very polite though. Room - 1.)The airconditioning unit is old. 2. It seems also that they forgot to clean the trash bins as there were still waste (plastic wraps, etc.) in it. 3.) There were 2 towels inside the cabinet but were obviously used that’s why we requested for another set. 4.) There were many electric sockets but all are not working (except for the one designated for the aircon). There was only a connected extension from the outside hallway but it has only 2 sockets that we have to use alternately. 5.) Tissues papers in hotels are expected to be in place already when guests arrive but in our case, we still have to request for it. Location - it has a perfect location and is only walking distance to the churches and other tourist spots.

The Hotel was actually good despite its negative review. When we check in I didn't put high hopes on this one but when we entered our room it was actually good and clean. They even put toiletries and a clean towel to our bathroom and the staff are friendly they even give us an extra tissue even though we're not requesting for it. The heater and blower is functioning well. The aircon was also functioning well even though it's look old. They even put a coffee and thermos heater for us. The room is clean but I suggest it's better if they put a floor mat. The location is the best because it's in the heart of Intramuros, but outside the hotel is kind of eerie I think it's because of the people who live nearby at the hotel. Over all it's a good stay for 3 days and 2 nights for a cheap price. I will recommend it and for sure will comeback again.

+ location (nasa loob sya so walking distance sa pasyalan) + spacious and may ref yung room unfortunately, yung room namin walang bidet and it's fine since may hand shower naman. that will do sana kaso sira din sya. so we had to call to request for timba at tabo (we're actually surprised na hindi naka ready yung timba at tabo agad considering sabi ng front desk may naka stay dun before us so we're thinking dapat aware na sila dun sa issue and explain na lang samen) same day nung unang araw ng stay namin, nagmalfunction naman yung flush ng toilet so we had to call again to have it fixed. in fairness very prompt naman sila dto. then it happened again so another tawag (nahihiya na kami kakatawag kaso andaming issues eh and we decided na once mafix ulit yun, di na lang kami gagamit ng flush. tabo na lang ulit) but this time, hindi sila pumunta until the time na kailangan na namin umalis since may lakad kami (could be pumunta sila while we're out). nagfollow up kami later that day pagbalik then we learned na walang tubig sa gripo sa lababo and shower. so another report. nagkaron later that night so akala namin okay na. however, pag gising namin the next day, wala ulit tubig. inigiban naman kami ng staff and we learned na buong 3rd floor walang tubig kasi may nasira daw. i know these are unforseen circumstances and nagkataon na ganun yung nangyare during our stay but still, it's not a good experience for us. we're just a bit disappointed na hindi sila proactive magoffer ng alternative like bibigyan na agad nila kami ng timba and tabo since walang bidet and sira yung hand shower, kung hindi pa kami nagrequest, hindi man lang nila naisip pano gagawin namin dun pag need mag cr. or bigyan na nila kami agad ng isang timba na may water para makapag cr since aware sila na hindi makaakyat tung tubig sa 3rd floor dahil may sira daw. walang ngiti, thank you or aplogies na inoffer yung front desk nung check in and check out. mas polite pa yung mga crew nila (housekeeping and maintenance). overall, we did not have a good experience. again, could be nagkataon lang sa buong stay namin yung ganung issue pero mas bearable sya kung may people skills ung nasa front desk since sila yung laging kaharap ng mga client.

The location is at the heart of Intramuros - most tourist spots are walking distance. The first room had bed bugs - but it was resolved by the professional and friendly receptionist who transferred me to another room. I was not able to sleep well due to the old air conditioning unit that was making weird noises every now and then. Cleanliness can be improved as well. Be prepared to pay a deposit of Php 2,000 cash - they do not accept card payments for the deposit. Overall it was a nice stay.
