This time, we took my mother-in-law and sister-in-law along on a trip that we usually only go on as a couple every month. We booked two hotel rooms, and both of them were very satisfied. It seems like they always stayed in motels when traveling with their siblings. While staying here, they mentioned how clean the bedding, bathroom, and beds were, with daily cleaning and towel changes! They also appreciated that they provided two bottles of water and that they could wake up early to watch fishing boats from the ocean view... they really enjoyed it. They said it was cold in the early morning because the heater wasn't on, but after I showed them how to use it, they turned it on on the last day and were pleased. There’s a beautiful lake nearby, so we went for evening walks, visited the central market, and they tried Abai sundae on a ferry... They also said it was nice to take the cable car up Seoraksan without having to wait since we left early. We decided to take them along more often in the future. I discovered a nice hotel, and I plan to use it as a second home ^^
This location uses non-contact check in. That was fine. Our issue became making requests to management. I understand language barriers can misconstrue what is being said but a member of our party knows Korean as their first language and the answers we received did not change. I would also understand if the issue of request was the time it was being made but at no point was that mentioned to us. Instead we were told that four adults would only receive two full sized towels and four hand towels during our stay. As long as you don't need anything additional, I would highly recommend this stay as it has comfortable furniture, great views, and a fantastic location. However, if you need anything during your stay, you might want to look into staying at the Sunrise Hotel as it is in the same building but has actual people at reception who might assist you.
First of all, there is a lot of storage space, making it convenient for extended stays, and the contactless web check-in option is convenient as well. The bedding is comfortable, making it easy to sleep, and the location is adjacent to Sokcho Central Road, so if you go out the back gate, there’s a Starbucks and a Bbaekdabang within 1-2 minutes (Starbucks is only open until 6 o'clock). Sokcho Central Market is also just a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to go back and forth. One downside was that the water tank of the coffee machine didn't seem to be cleaned properly (there was slight moss visible, so I washed it before using it). Also, there used to be a Socar zone in the nearby KakaoT parking lot, but it seems to be gone now. There is a bus stop nearby, but the service ends in the evening... I hope it comes back!
After retiring, my spouse and I travel every month. We usually go to Sokcho. We have stayed at various cost-effective hotels in Sokcho, but this one is the best. So we decided to make it our second home. This is our second time using it, and we have made a reservation for next month as well. We always stay for 3 nights and 4 days, and this is the only place that provides cleaning during extended stays. The towels are clean, and the staff have a good attitude. The night view of Cheongcho Lake is especially nice, and all the places we want to go are nearby. When we visit Sokcho, we usually go to Seoraksan, Sokcho Beach, Oiangchi Beach Road, and Songjiho City, all of which are great to visit. Thanks to Sokcho and this hotel, the quality of our life has improved. Thank you.

“I like to rest quietly.”
First of all, it was great that the location was in the city center. You can walk to places like the central market, Munu-dang Seorim, Abai Village, and Cheolsung Shipyard. There's a Starbucks across the street, haha. The room is about 5-6 pyeong, which is perfect for relaxing alone. There were no slippers in the room, but the floor is not carpeted, so it doesn't matter. In regular hotels, heating comes from the ceiling, which can be extreme and dry, but here, the underfloor heating is nice because it's in the officetel format, haha. The heating works very well and is comfortable. Also, the mattress was comfortable, so I had a great sleep. There is a washing machine in the room, but there is also a convenience store, CleanTopia, on the first floor where you can use a dryer, and there's a restaurant in the same building where breakfast is available, which is nice. Oh, and I remember having a mountain view, but maybe I got upgraded to a view of Cheongcho Lake. The view was so nice that I think it might even be better than an ocean view. The other side is Cheongcho Lake's water dish and the Choyang-dong area, and the night view is beautiful. There are a few downsides, though. First of all, the cleaning wasn't that great. There was someone's mask under the TV cabinet, and there was dust and water stains in the coffee cup, haha. I felt uncomfortable, so I cleaned it again myself,ㅠㅠ If you are sensitive, it might be unpleasant. Secondly, you have to request supplies for the room to be replenished. If you're staying for multiple nights, you have to ask separately for water. They quickly hang it on the door and leave, so you won't have to interact with the staff, haha. Lastly, there is some noise from the refrigerator of the Dongwon Cold Storage building right in front of the hotel during the day, so if you are sensitive to noise, it might be better to avoid lower floors on the Cheongcho Lake view side. It wasn't noisy all day, and it was quiet in the evening. I think I will use it again next time I go to Sokcho~
